US strike on al-Qaida kills children
May 22nd, 2008 . by TexasFredBAGHDAD (AP) – A U.S. helicopter strike north of Baghdad killed eight people in a vehicle, including at least two children, Iraqi officials said Thursday, insisting all the dead were civilians. The U.S. military said six were al-Qaida militants but acknowledged children were killed.
AP Television News footage showed the bodies of three children in blood-drenched clothes – the eldest appearing to be in his early teens – along with the bodies of five men, at the hospital in Beiji, where the dead were taken after Wednesday evening’s strike.
Iraqi and U.S. officials each put the number of slain children at two. The reason for the discrepancies between the two accounts and the TV footage was not known.
It was the latest incident threatening to alienate Sunni Arabs, who have played a key role in the steep decline in violence over the past year by joining forces with the Americans against al-Qaida in Iraq. Beiji, an oil hub 155 miles north of Baghdad, lies in a largely Sunni Arab area.

If they were in the vehicle with al-Qaida terrorists, then they were al-Qaida terrorists in training and all I can say is good riddance, they were the enemy as much as the adults, too bad, so sad, now the bleeding hearts have some REAL evidence to use, yeah, I really am that America 1st hard-assed Conservative you heard about…

I’m pretty sure that by the time the Iraqi press and al-Jazeera get done with it, we will have hit 2 hospitals and an orphanage run by followers of Mother Teresa…

Y’know, being the wuss I am, it does bother me that kids get killed, but all those libtards better ask themselves who exactly is responsible for their deaths, and it damn sure ain’t the U.S. military! It’s B. Hussein’s buds who USE children as fodder, and THAT should piss them off.
You know what they say…..
If you’re going to kill someone make sure you kill the entire family so you don’t have to worry about somebody coming after you later.

I concur.
First of all, they’re all civilians. Every stinking terrorist is a civilian. They’re not soldiers, they’re civilians. The civilian waving and holding an American Flag today is the terrorist of tomorrow with a bomb strapped to his butt.
If civilian terrorists bring children with them, they children will get killed. The terrorists have used children for suicide bombings many times in the past. They know that children getting killed like this will turn people against the Americans. They do it purposely in hopes the kids will get killed.
My uncle who fought in Vietnam said the VC would strap grenades to little children and have them walk over to GI’s. He said when the kid would raise its arms to give you something, they would explode, killing you.
BobF, exactly, I had a buddy that was a door gunner back in the late 60’s, he saw a 14 year old kid get killed his 1st night in country, he was the ‘house boy’ for a group of GI’s and he had slit 5 or 6 throats before someone woke up and caught him in the act…
Of course they sent him to hell in a hand basket and it sure gave my buddy a whole new perspective on life in the fast lane and the dangers of kids in a guerilla war…
I feel NO sympathy, none, never have, never will…

I normally shy away from controversial posts like the one below, that I just swiped from Texas Fred ( yeah, again ). This time , however, I am going to state right up front that I do agree with what he has said. Do I feel bad 2 children lost their live…
Reminds me of another saying: “Nuke ‘em til they glow them shoot ‘em in the dark.”
Maybe we can apply that one to Iran someday.

When you hide behind women and children the women and children become targets. It is known as collateral damage and too bad. I didn’t see Americans or British crying over the dead of Dresden or Tokyo in WW 2.
Katie, that’s because we didn’t have all the PC asshats that we do today… We have bloggers that flip-flop all over the place, one day it’s kill em all, next day it’s OMG they were children and the next day it who the hell knows what…
