Hear, Hear Fred….. I’ve said the same thing for years. I don’t celebrate Memorial Day with BBQ, friends or drink, never have, never will.

I spend it walking, hiking, surfing or fly-fishing by myself or with my wife. We spend the day thanking and remembering our troops, past and present for what they have done and I/we will never forget.

Give our best to your son and his beautiful wife. Give him a hug and tell him Ranando and his wife say, Thanks.

Have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend and take a little time to pray for all of our veterans.

This morning, at church, we did something we don’t normally do. We stood, said the Pledge of Allegiance and sang the National Anthem. Being able to do that brought it home to many that we are free to do that because of those who sacrificed so much for us.

A wish for you and yours, and all the readers to have a safe and FREE Memorial Day.

Simply put, I can’t add anything to what has already been said. I spent a good portion of this morning remembering my Godfather, and reviewing the things that happened at the Chosin Reservoir.

Bless all who died for this country. May we never forget them, or their sacrifice.

My Father’s flag was flying at dawn this morning.  He earned it by serving in World WarII.  My husband and I spent this day remembering all who have gone before and the many who have given all for this country.  May we regain the freedoms that they fought for.

OldSoldier, as do mine, you see what’s on top of my side bar, it’s always there too…

No greater sacrifice can a man make than to lay down his life for his God and his Country…

    Never Forget!!
