WASHINGTON (AP) – The Supreme Court on Wednesday outlawed executions of people convicted of raping a child.
In a 5-4 vote, the court said the Louisiana law allowing the death penalty to be imposed in such cases violates the Constitution’s ban on cruel and unusual punishment.
“The death penalty is not a proportional punishment for the rape of a child,” Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in his majority opinion. His four liberal colleagues joined him, while the four more conservative justices dissented.
There has not been an execution in the United States for a crime that did not also involve the death of the victim in 44 years.

I guess the abortion loving, loony libber left is dancing in the streets right abut now.
In their SICK opinion it’s wrong to execute a murderer, or a child rapist, but it’s just fine and dandy to kill an unborn child, abortion on demand, abortion for ALL, what the hell, as far as they’re concerned, it’s just some cells that haven’t really become anything yet.
But to execute a child rapist, that’s another story altogether, it would be cruel and unusual punishment to put an ANIMAL to death for committing the most vile transgression any sane mind can imagine, it’s against their delicate sensitivities to put a murderer or child rapist to death, it’s much more civil and humane to either lock them up for life or hey, let’s just go ahead and spend a fortune trying to rehabilitate the bastards, then we can release them back out so they can once again prey upon the public, and our most valuable resource, our children.
Cruel and unusual? That’s what the SCOTUS says concerning the execution of a child rapist, so, let me pose this question to those 5 addled brained idiots that forced this decision, if the rapist is suffering cruel and unusual, WHAT IN THE HELL do you suppose the poor child has felt?
The SCOTUS got this one wrong, very wrong, and this is a prime example of what’s in store for the USA if we allow some asshat like Barack Obama, the most liberal serving Senator, SOURCE, SOURCE and SOURCE, to become President of the United States.
Wake up folks, plaster this all over the blogs, in your emails, forums, anywhere it can be read or seen, maybe we can open up a few moderate liberal minds and with any luck they too will see the dangers faced by the USA today, the dangers posed by going full tilt Dem and libber, and just maybe, if we can convince the moderate Libs, maybe they can persuade a few of the more far left Libs, it’s called the domino effect, and it works.
Our most dangerous enemies are within this nation and it’s time for all REAL Republicans and Conservative Americans to take this nation back, because if we don’t get it done in this election, we may not have the opportunity to hold another election in which we attempt to rectify our present day mistakes.

I am outraged! This creature (I won’t consider him a human) raped a child and will now walk. He will scream it is unfair. What he did was unfair to that child. I am appalled at the court.
This decision is about as inhuman as you can get. What in the HELL are these lib justices thinking…I guess they are not. This is an act of murder on a child. Some bastard may not end up killing the child in the process, but the child’s innocence and ability to have a normal future HAS BEEN MURDERED!!! This only solidifies my belief that liberalism has been forced upon this country by SATAN himself….because only a sick Mother F#%$@# like SATAN could spawn something so sick as a liberal mind. If somebody raped one of my granddaughter’s, let the courts let him go. Allow him to walk the streets again. Because someday, grandpa will be waiting with 165 grains of copper and lead to place between his eyes.
If anyone at anytime should get the death penalty it should be a child rapist. I cannot see what is unusual or cruel about permanently removing scum from the face of the earth.

The SCOTUS should be disbanded all together and started over… STRICT Conservatives make the best Judges. They will protect the country and the populous, look what the lefty’s have done… time for a clean slate.

I touched on this today on my ‘Tidbits’. Hers is my comment.
I’ve never bought into the ‘cruel & unusual punishment’ thing. I say if you live by the gun you die by gun. In other words what ever you did to someone else should be your punishment. So if you raped a child you should be put in a place that has 6? 8? 300# homosexuals for life. No one seems to care that the victim of the crime was subjected to ‘cruel & unusual punishment’.
I should have also added that is OK to to give enemy combatant’s the same protection of the US Constitution as American citizens, but its no OK to execute those who rape American children.
Actually a pedophile will have a very difficult time in prison Basti. Even criminals find these slugs not worthy of life. The Death Penalty would have been a kindness for this slug. I think that he should be put into the General Population and they should be told what he did. It is cheaper than keeping him alive.
I think that the Death Penalty should extend to Pedophiles. But since 5 of the 9 crows disagree with me, then they should NOT be given extra privileges such as separate facilities and put in with the rest of the criminals. Thus sparing the taxpayer the expense of the chemicals used to execute these pieces of filth.
