You’re right Fred. This isn’t a race issue, but a safety one. All drivers, regardless of their race are required to have a good command of the English language. Not just Mexican drivers, but American ones too. And Canadians.

This law should be strictly enforced. It is for the publics’ safety and the drivers’ too.

FMCSA Regulation 391.11 (b)(2) – Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.

Enforce the laws on the books. Quit giving CDL tests in any language but English – comprede???? (don’t know and don’t care if it’s spelled correctly. I took French not Spanish in high school…..)
