SYDNEY, Australia – Pope Benedict XVI told representatives of Islam and other faiths that they must unite to combat religion’s role in “sinister and indiscriminate” violence.
Without mentioning terrorism directly, the pontiff said there were those in who were using religion “as a cause of division rather than a force for unity” in a 40-minute exchange with Australian Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist leaders in Sydney.

I guess this is the message you’d expect from the Pope, peace, love and harmony, it’s a damned shame the guy has NO grasp on reality.
It’s not happening Pope Dude, as long as Islam exists on the face of this earth, there will be Islamic terrorists and Islamic radicals that enforce their brand of religion with a gun, a bomb and a sword. Ya gotta have a good sword to lop off the heads of all those nasty Infidels.
The remarks come as the Vatican tries to cool lingering anger among Muslims over a speech Benedict gave in 2006 that appeared to associate Islam with violence. Benedict quickly apologized for the link.
When those remarks were made I thought, “WOW, maybe there’s a Pope that has a set of balls and will right the wrongs of the Catholic church, maybe we have a Pope that will actually take a stand and make the Church relevant once more.”
Yeah, well, I was wrong. Almost as soon as he said it, he retracted it and began to make many apologies. Apparently, he’s still in the apology business.
Maybe the Pope needs to stick to more important issues, like ferreting out the PERVERTS in the Catholic church. The pedophiles and child molesters that hide behind the collar and habit.
Yes, I did say habit. There’s at least as many perverted Nuns as there are Priests. The Nuns get shuffled of the the *Mother House* to have the babies and then the baby gets put up for adoption. The Priests get transferred to another Parish.
Muslims should be more understanding of other religions, he said, adding: “At the same time, a significant amount of the Christian groups and other religions must overcome their prejudice to Muslims and Islam.”
In an idyllic world maybe. When Islam stops it’s worship of pedophiles, and it’s Submit or Die attitude, maybe then some of us will take a more tolerant look at Islam, if they don’t, they will remain the enemy.
Until then, stick to what you should be doing Pope Dude, sweep your own doorstep before you try to tell the world what IT needs to do.

I’m really getting tired of this stupid argument about the violent muslims being the minority, I challenge anyone to study the history of Islam and point out to me where, at ANY friggin time in the history of that “religion”, Islam was peaceful. it isn’t now, it never was, peace isn’t even part of the doctrine of that “religion”. this country has been fighting Islamic terrorism ever since it’s inception. If you are tolerant of intolerance what are you? and what GOOD are you?
I expect a Christian minister of any denomination to quote Jesus in saying “Turn the other cheek.”. But I don’t expect them to say: “Let others walk all over you.”.

Great Pedophile sanctioned: rape, murder, kidnapping, stealing, lying, and pedophilia.
Jesus sanctioned: Love of God, thy Neighbor, Do unto others as you would have unto you, be good to each other, do not lie, cheat, steal, rape, murder in his name.
I prefer the words of Jesus over the rantings of the Great Pedophile any day. They are the words that truly come from God.
When was the last time you heard a Muslim leader come forward and officially apologize to Christian and Jewish leaders? There have been many sick things said and done by all the “warm and fuzzy loving” Muslims around the world….what’s that?….I think I heard…..nope! just the sound of crickets.
