July 28th, 2008 . by TexasFredBAGHDAD (AP) – Female suicide bombers struck a Shiite pilgrimage in Baghdad and a Kurdish protest rally in northern Iraq on Monday, killing at least 57 people and wounding nearly 300, police said.Three women detonated their explosive vests in the middle of pilgrims in Baghdad, moments after a roadside bomb attack, killing at least 32 people and wounding 102, Iraqi officials said.
In the oil-rich northern city of Kirkuk, 25 people were killed and 185 wounded when a blast tore through a crowd of Kurds protesting a draft provincial elections law, officials said.
Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Burhan Tayeb Taha said the bomber was a woman, saying he had seen the remains. The U.S. military confirmed a suicide bombing but said it had no indication the attacker was a woman.Full Story Here:

Make NO mistake about it, OUR troops WON our part of the war in Iraq.
Whether you agree with the reasons for going to Iraq or not, one fact can’t be denied, we WON the war, we defeated Saddam’s Republican Guard, we deposed Saddam, we got rid of his maniacal sons and then captured Saddam himself.
We led the charge against the Islamic insurgency that sought to destroy the newly elected government of Iraq. We financed and trained the up and coming Iraqi army and police. We fought with them, we encouraged them and we set the example for them.
Now we are in a position that the DoD is considering withdrawing troops from Iraq as combat operations in what I have called a *civil war* have all but ceased. Many argued that Iraq wasn’t a *civil war*, and in the original inception, it wasn’t, but after Saddam was deposed, Iraq rapidly spiraled into *civil war*.
Today’s events only stress the fact that *civil war*, one conducted by an insurgent faction, with guerrilla terrorist tactics as it’s pattern, still exists. And sadly, this also points out the fact the we, and the Iraqis, are incapable of stopping someone that is dedicated to *mission completion* and has no fear of death in carrying out that mission.
Iraq has many challenges ahead, and I honestly have no solutions or suggestions to make regarding these homicide bombers as they spread their *Religion of Peace* message for all the world to see. Women bombers, in traditional Muslim dress, can hide a lot of explosives, and we can’t just *search* them because of Islamic law.
How the hell do you fight that?

I think you’ve come up with a question that really has no answer, other than screw such laws. And I don’t see that happening.
Can’t women search women? But do we want to put women in such danger? Dang. Doesn’t seem to be a solution, does there.
How do you fight it? The same damn way we have been saying you fight it…. you said it, we won, time to set fire to the whole thing on the way out, give em to much to rebuild to worry about homicide bombings…
I hear glass is a commodity in the middle east? Maybe we should increase the supply.. just a thought.
The only ones that can stop the women nuts from blowing themselves up and others along with them are the Iraqis…if they want it stopped then they can stop it. It might take another Saddam Husein to do it but it can be done.
I don’t like the idea of a time table such as Hassan Obama is advocating..all that does is tell the sumbitches when we are leaving so they can lay back and wait. I say the way to do it is one day just announce to the world. WE FUCKIN’ WON and pull out and invade Mexico..
