Absolutely a comparison. We don't secure our borders, government is taking over, or threatening to take over, businesses like oil, healthcare,.... we make special Islam, the religion of our enemy...

What's really sad is our military would probably make a better civil government than the civil, or.. make that uncivil government we currently have, AND whatever we're going to get.....

hell, now that I think of it, our military has a pretty good track record in government building.....humm..... maybe we could USE a military coup here!

Yeah, well Warcraft is real life damn it!!!

Look, the last thing I would ever want to see is a violent civil war on our soil, BUT every now and then a revolt cleans out the corruption and seat fillers.

We always heard in the past, "if you don't like what the Gubmint is doing vote em out" Well LATELY that has not been the answer. We didn't like the Repubs we had and removed em in 2006, we got WORSE, so there is the issue. WHAT'S LEFT?

We get to vote on issues, bonds and measures we pass them or defeat them,b y LARGE margins and then some assholes in black robes overturn it...

If the folks that are clueless (You can find them following Obama) and the hypocrites/Rino's/Faux intellectuals (You can find them following McCain or in Long Beach Community College) ever get their heads out of their ass we would have a chance at real change.

Interesting post.

I don't see that happening in this country with so many differing opinions, not to say somebody doesn't need a kick in the arse...

It's difficult to sit back and watch our country slowly slip away to those who want it more than we do, but we have been lulled into a state of catatonic sleep in spite of being awakened over and over again. 9/11/01 was just the loudest wake up, but it only took about 6 months before this country went back to sleep, trusting our government at the wheel.

Perhaps we should pay close attention to the outcome in Mauritania… or at least our government should pay close attention.

One catch Rob, a government doesn't overthrow itself, an outside force does, and a military coup would negate MANY things, like the stoopid asswipes that think making a touchdown on a computer screen is REAL LIFE...

Well Fred, I would say YES except we have so many nutless, gutless, worthless individuals that have no idea what's really happening here.

IF you people all of the sudden had to survive without the internet, X Box, HD, and Starbucks, there might be an issue, but the gubmint of the USA is smart enough to keep those vital things operational.

Stolen, and linked too! :D

On target Fred, no adjustment needed. If the nitwits in Washington don't get their collective heads out of each others rumps, something like that may very well happen here. Only there would be violence here, lots of it.
