Jut want to make sure I understand this. The party that has scrubbed it’s site of any black law history (courtesy of The American Spectator) is saying we should pay reparations for a class of people THEY created, kept oppressed, and held down for so long? This same group is saying ALL OF US need to pitch in and pay for THEIR mistakes and errors?

Picture me waving the biggest BS flag possible at that one…

Think I’m kidding about the history? An excerpt, if I may:

* There is no reference to the number of Democratic Party platforms supporting slavery. There were 6 from 1840-1860.

* There is no reference to the number of Democratic presidents who owned slaves. There were 7 from 1800-1861

* There is no reference to the number of Democratic Party platforms that either supported segregation outright or were silent on the subject. There were 20, from 1868-1948.

* There is no reference to “Jim Crow” as in “Jim Crow laws,” nor is there reference to the role Democrats played in creating them. These were the post-Civil War laws passed enthusiastically by Democrats in that pesky 52-year part of the DNC’s missing years. These laws segregated public schools, public transportation, restaurants, rest rooms and public places in general (everything from water coolers to beaches). The reason Civil Rights heroine Rosa Parks became famous is that she sat in the front of a “whites only” bus, the “whites only” designation the direct result of Democrats.

* There is no reference to the formation of the Ku Klux Klan, which, according to Columbia University historian Eric Foner became “a military force serving the interests of the Democratic Party.” Nor is there reference to University of North Carolina historian Allen Trelease’s description of the Klan as the “terrorist arm of the Democratic Party.”

* There is no reference to the fact Democrats opposed the Thirteenth, Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments to the Constitution. The Thirteenth banned slavery. The Fourteenth effectively overturned the infamous 1857 Supreme Court Dred Scott decision (made by Democrat pro-slavery Supreme Court justices) by guaranteeing due process and equal protection to former slaves. The Fifteenth gave black Americans the right to vote.

And that’s only five of the fourteen items listed as missing from the DNC’s history on their own web site. Yah, let’s trust the country to the party that can’t remember it’s own doings…

These something for nothing theives or the first order have been pounding this beat for a hundred years.
These people live in America with all the freedoms and ability to make themselves. To Make themselves means they have to work for it and they are far to lazy to do that. The few who have succeeded are mostly ignored because they would have to admit to hard work as the source of success.

Just like the crazies in New Orleans expecting the government to give them millions of dollars for doing absolutely nothing.

I never owned a slave. I owe nothing.

Perhaps reperations should be paid to all us white people because our ancesters brought them here. They could still be in Africa.

Probably right, there’s not more than a handful of us that are willing to stand up to the RNC and tell em NO, why the hell should we expect that there could actually be any effort put into calling and emailing legislators??

America is in a world of shit and all people do now is say, “Well, we can’t DO that”…

Why the hell not?? We have the power of the vote, and until that too is taken away because the American people are too lazy and apathetic to take a stand and fight, as long as we have the power to take their positions away, congress WILL do our bidding…

But it WILL NOT happen as long as people say CAN’T…

I think we knew this was coming. I’m with you Fred, I never had slaves, my parents and grandparents never had slaves, so no money from me. But … we won’t have a choice. The government robs us blind in taxes and they spend them however they want. By government, I meal life-time politicians who have lost contact with what the PEOPLE want.

This woman has a congregation of twenty (20) people and she was chosen for her “strong guidance, skilled leadership and counsel”. Twenty people is a sign of skilled leadership? If she built a congregation of 2,000 people, I could agree with that but only 20 people? But then, Obama’s leadership credentials are those of a community organizer.

In another blog I read mentioning this, it also said that the person who was arrested, had VERY close ties to Wright’s church, while Obama claimed to have cut all ties with them.

McCain may be a left-leaning GOP candidate, but at least he is not a liar.
