Missing Garland couple found dead in submerged car
This is possibly the worst written story on the entire matter of this couple, it strives for political correctness, I, on the other hand, operate under no such misconceptions, I am NEVER politically correct…
According to TV news reports, they DID get lost, and they drove down beside a bridge, possibly looking for a place to turn around while disoriented by a driving rain storm, and in the process it appears that they drove their car off a boat launch ramp into the Trinity River…
What this story doesn’t tell you is this, according to other sources, the Kim’s DID call 9-1-1 and sounded frantic as they tried to call for help from their rapidly sinking car, but here’s the big hitch, the Kim’s, who are, or I guess I should say were, Korean, and even though they had been in the USA for over 20 years, well, they didn’t speak a word of English, and their family members that were interviewed by local news stations, younger members, ya know, they barely spoke English either, and these are folks that were raised in the USA…
And to complicate matters even more, yeah, you likely figured it out by now, Dallas 9-1-1 and for that matter, none of the surrounding 9-1-1 services speak KOREAN…
They all have Spanish speaking operators, but Korean just hasn’t been picked up by the 9-1-1 operators in this area, I guess the ACLU and the grieving family will jump all over this one and sue the surrounding cities because it’s their fault that these people that came to America, and have been here for over 20 years, failed to learn to speak the language of the land and weren’t able to see the river and the boat launch signs…
Call me hard-hearted, but if you come to MY nation and spend over 20 years of YOUR life here, making money, enjoying the fruits of this land and ALL it has to offer and you don’t have the motivation to learn to speak English, or you don’t entertain the idea that after all that time you SHOULD become an American, to hell with you, I don’t care WHAT happens to you, you’re nothing but a leech on MY nation…

The hell you say??
That’s Korean for, HELP!
Oh…
I don’t know and Korean and I was posted there. Everybody speaks English if you stick a .45 in their face!
Is it cold? A bit. Is it true? 100%.
Would the operator have been able to help them even had they spoken English? Probably not. But at least we’d have found their bodies sooner.
Hard hearted? No. Rational. I always enjoy doing the “reverse” spin: what if I was in Korea? I drove off a pier. South Korea, let’s say, has something similar to a 911 system. Would I expect all their operators to speak English? Or what if I were Spanish and in Korea? Or what if I were Russian and in Korea? Or what if I were French and in Korea? Ooops, bad example, sorry; no one much cares about the French. But you get my point.
20 YEARS in MY country and you CAN’T EVEN SPEAK MY LANGUAGE? Sorry folks, I threw out my compassion on this kinda crap when I first began blogging. This is nothing more than thinning the herd.
