Tish, I went looking for something last night, and found this:

I don’t know if that helps as an explanation of why some of us are more than just a tad baffled by B. Hussein’s actions in staying in the church, and your defense of it, but I hope it’ll give ya a small insight?

I disagree Tish. It’s not “black” church, it’s not “white” church. It’s GOD’S church. If the church leaders don’t follow the Word, then it’s not really a church at all…. at least not in my understanding. Wright spewed venom. Phlegar spewed idiocy. Plain and simple. I don’t care what color either one is, what color the congregation, it doesn’t matter.

Content of character!! And character doesn’t have a color!

And for damn sure it wasn’t attacked HERE…

EDIT: Let me correct that just a bit… It WAS attacked here, but NOT because it was BLACK, it was attacked here because it was WRONG, and I don’t care WHAT color it was…

I don’t give a damn WHAT the religious affiliation is, I don’t care if it’s Christian or Jewish, if it’s wrong, it’s wrong, and Wright was wrong… NO pun intended…

I understand Kate, but from the Rev. Wright (scandal) there has bee much more than just what Rev. Wight has said, the Black church as a whole has been attacked and portrayed in a negative light, not deserving of all churches. That’s my biggest beef with taking a sample of someone and running with it to produce mass hysteria.

But all disagreements aside, I’m open minded and I “hear you all”.

Tish, I have changed church affiliation a few times. Other than being ‘sprinkled’ as a baby in the Lutheran church, I was a member of the Presbyterian, until they started the pro abortion crap. I floundered around, rejoined the Lutheran, WELS, and found myself out numbered by liberals, who evidently didn’t think the Bible was the Word of God! I left that church too. I’m now a member of a small church that even the pastor has said, “If the association starts leaving the Word, this church will leave the association!”

Yes, it really DOES matter.

If and when my pastor starts going off the Bible and preaching anything but the word, then I leave the church and find another fellowship where they stick to the Bible. I have done it before, I may have to do it in the future (although I certainly hope not), but any thinking Christian would do the same – tell me YOU wouldn’t leave if your preacher started saying “God DAMN America” from the pulpit, Tish?

Yes, I am there for the Lord, but the Lord will lead me to a different teacher if this one starts going off and spouting his own theology.
