Dems Push Gonzales ‘No-Confidence’ Vote
June 11th, 2007 . by TexasFredEdit: I am being taken to task by a couple of bloggers saying that Mr. Bush didn’t mean it was “HIS” government, they are telling me I am taking this wrong, that what Mr. Bush meant to say was “my administration’… Well, that’s NOT what he said, and we all know he’s a bumbling idiot when he speaks, but if his handlers can’t do a better job of prep on the guy, he needs new handlers as well… Listen to the show on Freedom Fighter Radio tonight and the sound bites that will be played and you decide for yourself…
WASHINGTON (AP) – Senate Democrats blistered Attorney General Alberto Gonzales Monday with debate on a symbolic “no-confidence” resolution, but President Bush and fellow Republicans shrugged it all off as a waste of time.
No one predicted that the resolution would survive its test vote late in the day. But neither did Republicans or Democrats rush to defend Bush’s longtime friend after he alienated even the White House’s staunchest allies on a host of controversies – from the bungled firings of eight federal prosecutors to the handling of wiretapping authority under the USA Patriot Act.
Many Republican votes against the symbolic resolution apparently sprang from a fear of political retribution, not support of Gonzales.
“There is no confidence in the attorney general on this side of the aisle,” said Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, the senior Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, announcing he would vote for the no-confidence resolution.
Why don’t they hold a ‘Confidence/No Confidence’ vote and place George W. Bush on the nameplate?? I think that would be a hoot, let’s see just WHO is going to vote strictly along party lines and who’s going to have the guts to stand and tell the truth…
Gonzo is the Presidents resident ‘get out of jail’ card, that’s all he’s ever been, and the guy really needs to be gone but what would Bush nominate to replace him?? Harriet Meirs?? Seems like we’ve already been down that particular path, Bush has a really close group of sycophant’s and he’s not going to break those ranks, they’re likely the only friends he has left, them and the ‘Bush Bots’…
“They can have their votes of no confidence, but it’s not going to make the determination about who serves in my government,” Bush said in Sofia, Bulgaria, the last stop on a weeklong visit to Europe.
“This process has been drug out a long time,” Bush added. “It’s political.”
My government?? MY GOVERNMENT he says?? I’ll be damned, all this time I was under the impression it was OUR government, seems to me we have documents that reflect this fact, a little scrap of paper called the Constitution maybe, and I seem to remember there being a phrase in that document saying, “WE, THE PEOPLE” not “I, the modern day King George”, I think George W. Bush has just set himself up to be a DICTATOR, it’s obviously HIS way or NO WAY, and folks, that is NOT the AMERICAN way…
This man has lost his mind, his grip on reality and every time he opens his mouth he further endangers this nation in ways we have not yet begun to see…
Please, keep hammering your Congressmen and Senators, George W. Bush can’t be allowed to continue to railroad this nation, he is driving us into the ground, the man IS a disgrace to the Presidency…

Dems Push Gonzales ‘No-Confidence’ Vote

Your right and I’ve been saying since September 12, 2001.
How do you think I feel, I’ve been watching my country go down the tubes for six years.
Like I’ve said before….
I’m happy I know there’s a God and I know how this book is going to end, good will win over evil, with no help from Mr. Bush.
I liked what Trent Lott had to say about dems push for the vote..
“This is a nonbinding, irrelevant resolution proving what? Nothing,” Lott said. “Maybe we should be considering a vote of no confidence on the Senate or on the Congress for malfunction and an inability to produce anything.”
LOL!!
Never thought I’d ever say I would be glad when any republican president was out of office, but I’ll be glad when Thompson takes over..
I have watched that clip over and over…he said “my government” the same way a parent tells a child they will obey the rules while in “my” house. In other words, I’m boss and ya can’t do a damn thing about it. Well, I don’t think our country and it’s voting citizens are his “children”. I found his remarks downright insulting.
Now…off to figure out the radio thing.
Bush could stand up in front of America and tell us that this will be our last dinner as a free nation, that he is now a dictator.
His supporters would simply say that he said, “I’m having Dick Tatar over for dinner.â€
All the years I stood by him were a waste. The libs were right about him all along. Holy crap I know I will end up being quoted on that. Its time for Bush to just GO!!!
Ya know, GWB seems tp pay attention to his Mama…anyone think if we asked nicely, she could haul his ass back from the brink ?
Well I am not going to castrate him for a slip of the tongue…. However; that coupled with his actions, are cause for concern/.
This idiot has cost the Republicans any chance of winning the WH in 08. and it will take MANY years of GOOD leadership to recover from the damage Bush has done to our nation.
Bushy has pronoun problems! He thinks its ‘his’ government. What I’d like to see is the entire Congress get up and walk out while ‘he’s’ stammering on about ‘his’ country and ‘his’ government. They won’t though, Congress is as gutless as Bushy is stupid.
He has no balls, therefore ‘castration’ would not be needed…
LMAO.
I voted for this guy.
I might as well have voted for Kerry.
The only difference between a Dhimmicrat and a Republiwhore as far as the demise of MY AMERICA is concerned appears to be
MPH
and
ETA
MFers.
Ranando
I knew it on 9/12 too when we didn’t close the borders but I held out hope untill the contractors were hung from the bridge in Fallujah and we did jack squat and then further went on to INCREASE Sadar’s power.
I got shock and awe but not the shock and awe I voted for.
THEN I knew for sure, I had been hoodwinked by the man on the rubble with the megaphone.
and
YES~
THANK GOD
FOR GOD.
Because if I had to rely on the justice of men I would have gone insane by this time.
We have been betrayed, BIG TIME.

If it WAS a slip of the tongue…
I haven’t checked since shortly after he said it, but using the phrase ‘my government’ jumped out as a real bad choice of words. That the media didn’t exploit that was a surprise. But then Gee Dubya has never been accused of being an orator.

This was when I confirmed GWB had DEMONTIA in addition to everything else.
When I voted for him I thought I was voting for a man who understood the biblical.
LIE. Pay Per View Religious Performance Artiste.
Whore of Gramscian Churchianity is he.
Asked a similar question in October 1984 – whether he believed in Armageddon, President Ronald Reagan answered: “Yes, Armageddon could come the day after tomorrow.”
Now that was a man who believed the WORD.
GWB likely does not even KNOW the WORD.
which spiritually makes him an empty vessel that anything can ride in.
NOT GOOD.
