subject THE TRUTH

Dearest One,

I am Miss Grace morise Gada-Yao , I am 19yrs old, the only daughter of my late father (Late) Mr. Morise Gada-Yao, my mother died when I was only six years old of age then my father been a caring man took very good care of me till May 5TH 2007 that all my joy turn to sorrow on one of his business trip to Dubai, they got a plane crash which cost his life with Kenya Airways in Cameroon.

There is this amount of (US $8.5 M) (Eight Million Five Hundred Thousand United State Dollars) which my father deposited in the Security Company here in Abidjan-Cote d’ivoire before his untimely death. My father was a highly reputable business man; he deals in Cafe and Cocoa seeds. He died on the 5th May 2007 in a plane crash

Now I have decided to invest this money in your country or anywhere safe enough outside Cote d’ ivoire. I want you to help me transfer and invest this money in any lucrative business in your country considering my age and not having any
experience about investment-especially of the magnitude this will require.

Immediately the money is transferred to you I will come over to your country to continue my education under your care. If you can be of a sincere assistance to me, please do get back to me for more details.
I await your immediate response.

Thanks and God bless you.

Miss Grace Morise Gada-yao

  1. Fall for it? Nope.

Get them? All the time. Variations on the theme, but I get them. The spam filter on gmail is pretty good, so I don’t see them unless I go in to empty the spam box, and you can pretty much tell which ones are going to have this story in it.

  2. Sage says:

Yes actually I got one of them and was surprised that I only received one of them.
I read about a guy who got one and actually hit up family and friends for the money and actually traveled to the country and was in fear of his life and scooted back here with his tail between his legs and was excoriated by his family for the endeavor.
    ‘Nuff said

Well, there’s an old saying, “There’s a sucker born every minute.”

I was involved in a political forum a while back, 7 or 8 years ago, one of the moderators, a supposed well educated woman, got totally pissed off when this topic came up…

Seems she had been taken, hook, line and sinker, and then went off on people for blasting her over it and calling her stupid and gullible…

No one had so much as mentioned her name, guilty conscience I guess…

  4. Katie says:

I see that you haven’t gotten the one from the UN Peacekeeper yet. That one is hysterical. The next time I get it, I’m going to post it.

  5. TexasFred says:

I had 2 that I turned over to the proper authorities…

1 was from some asshat claiming to be a GI needing help smuggling Saddam’s billions out of Kuwait and the other was a supposed security contractor for Blackwater, they had Saddam’s billions too… :|

  6. Basti says:

I haven’t gotten one of these in ages. Comcast my Internet provider tighten up its security a while back and while I don’t know for sure this had anything to do with it, I stopped getting this crap after they did so.

On another note its a good thing we’ve got that filter on our blogs or all that Russian gay barely legal teens and bisexual Mexican lesbians over 50 with no teeth crap would be showing up on the blogs.

  7. TexasFred says:

Bisexual Mexican lesbians over 50 with no teeth??

Damn, I gotta turn off ALL the filters now, I have been looking for “bisexual Mexican lesbians over 50 with no teeth” stuff for a long time… LMAO… :P

  8. People falling for this crap deserved to be fleeced. Wait, who would fall for this kind of thing? The EMOtional? The GULLible? The NAive? Anyone on the LEFT? BINGo!

    BZ

  9. Kate says:

I’m kind of curious how I got one of these things in my Facebook mailbox. :/ Mohammad seemed to think I wanted to share in his millions from some long lost relative of mine. LMAO

  10. nannykaren says:

Yeah I have gotten that and other “strange e-mails” I have not fallen for any of them. Spam got so out of hand I changed to a new e-mail provider…
