Bar: Nifong Was ‘Minister of Injustice’

(AP) - Mike Nifong, the prosecutor who doggedly pursued the now-debunked Duke University lacrosse team rape case, was a “minister of injustice” who wove “a web of deception,” a state bar prosecutor said in closing statements Saturday at Nifong’s ethics trial.
If convicted, the disciplinary hearing committee could suspend Nifong’s law license or take it away entirely. Nifong told the panel hearing the case Friday that he would resign from his post as Durham County district attorney over his handling of the rape charges.
“Mr. Nifong did not act as a minister of justice, but as a minister of injustice,” state bar prosecutor Douglas Brocker said Saturday morning.
Brocker told the disciplinary hearing committee that as Nifong investigated allegations that a stripper was raped at a March 2006 party thrown by Duke’s lacrosse team, he charged “forward toward condemnation and injustice,” weaving a “web of deception that has continued up through this hearing.”

I haven’t posted a lot regarding this debacle, and I don’t really have a lot to say now, but what I DO believe is this, Nifong needs to be disbarred for LIFE…
He KNEW what he was doing when he brought these charges, he KNEW what he was doing as the case progressed and began to fall apart as the accusers story waffled worse than a Dem running for POTUS, and he ruined the lives of these young men in his quest to placate the black majority of his county as he prosecuted these white men on charges he KNEW to be fraudulent, charges brought by an accuser that he KNEW to be 100% unreliable and even when these men were exonerated by irrefutable DNA evidence Nifong still continued in his pursuit of these fraudulent charges and refused to back down until forced to do so by the state of North Carolina…
And Nifong did this to advance his own career and to get re-elected to the position of D.A. in Durham County…
Mike Nifong is guilty of a gross miscarriage of justice and doesn’t deserve to be allowed to work in the legal field, ever again…

Yep, glad to see this happen. Now if the good citizens will just tar and feather him and run him out of town tied to a fence rail like people used to do to those who committed outrageous offenses against the populace, his victims might feel a little better.
As it is, disbarment will not repair the damage, and I hope his victims sue him into a state of lifelong poverty.

I am NOT 100% certain of this but I heard on one of the MSM things that he can’t be sued as the prosecutor… He was in the ‘act’ of his job or some such crap, it doesn’t seem right but that’s what they were saying…
BUT, if O.J. could be sued by Goldman’s family after he was found NOT GUILTY, well, I would think a civil trial would be feasible… But I’m NOT a lawyer and that is just MY opinion…

Nifong did this because he KNEW it would be EASY to prosecute WHITE BOYS for rape and, more importantly, MONIED WHITE BOYS because, after all, no one likes SUCCESS unless they THEMSELVES are successful — it was EASY to get the MEDIA and the rest of the community to BELIEVE that ALL these MONIED WHITE BOYS were GUILTY SUSPECTS.
And yes, he did it because, in today’s climate, WHITE BOYS are the EASIEST to SCAPEGOAT and LABEL. Everyone else could be potentially “dangerous” as protected classes. He is a coward, a craven, arrogant, gutless narcissist.
