Bush Holds Video Conference With Iraqis

June 18th, 2007 . by TexasFred

WASHINGTON (AP) – President Bush had a nearly hour-long secure video teleconference with Iraqi leaders on Monday and came away impressed and reassured by the progress they’re making on political, security and economic reforms, the White House said.

“It’s clear that you’ve got an environment now where the key leaders are working together on these issues,” during the 52-minute teleconference the president had with Iraq’s prime minister, president and two vice presidents, White House press secretary Tony Snow said.

You know, it’s pretty easy to impress some people, apparently George W. Bush is one of them, “It’s clear that you’ve got an environment now where the key leaders are working together on these issues,” roughly translates to ‘That 40% of Baghdad that you guys DO control, why hell boys, that’s good enough for me, I’m at 30% approval here in the good old USA and there’s not a damn thing the people can do about it, keep it up, you’re doing a great job Brownie, uh, Oops, I mean Al, say, why is it so many of y’all are named Al??” …

Snow acknowledged that U.S. officials have heard similar positive statements from Iraqi leaders before, but said: “We think they are very serious in moving on the key items. … I think the president was impressed and reassured by the sense of seriousness that he heard”

And I am guessing that if Tony Snow actually believes any of that, well, then he has either gone completely to the dark side or he missed school that day when they were teaching the ‘How many ways can an Iraqi sound sincere while the SOB is picking your pocket’ class…

These guys are the KINGS of bullshit, the Iraqis and our own guys, just yesterday our Generals are telling us Baghdad Not Controlled, today the POTUS is all aglow, basking in some sort of post orgasmic ‘I fooled em again’ light because the Iraqis assured him that ‘all is well’…

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice also was assessing the situation in Iraq in a meeting at the State Department with Iraqi foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari during which they discussed security conditions in northern Iraq where neighboring Turkey is concerned about the presence of Kurdish rebels.

And here is one more issue that Bush and Company seem to totally ignore, Condi Rice is likely the smartest one IN the Bush administration, but she is, after all, a Christian, Black, Female, and yes, I know, that’s the obvious, and WE think it’s wonderful that she is so well educated and such a fine example of how wonderfully progressive we, as Americans are, but the Iraqis, and any OTHER Islamic nation, looks at her and LAUGHS, and looks at us and has NO respect, but that doesn’t seem to bother Bush one little bit…

Bush seems to think he is gonna reform radical Islam, he has the shiny suit of armor and the big white horse too, he must have a BIG horse hidden somewhere, he’s handed out more than enough horse shit lately…

And speaking of horse shit…

Bush and Rice’s meetings came a day after Gen. David Petraeus, the U.S. commander in Baghdad, warned it could take as long as a decade to stabilize Iraq.

The Bush administration was warned going in that this was going to happen and they didn’t believe it, Bush felt that we would be welcomed as ‘liberators’ and that was NOT the case, not for the majority of Iraqis any way, and the longer we’re there, the more thin we wear out what welcome we DID have, and unless there is a covert operation in the works to convert the entire nation of Iraq to Christianity, and I mean every man, woman and child, Iraq will remain exactly what it is, for a lot longer than any 10 years, because as long as Iraq is dominated by Islam, in ANY form, and as long as there is an ample supply of radical Muslims willing to martyr themselves in the name of Allah as they fight the ‘Great Satan’, this thing will NEVER end, and anyone that thinks it WILL end needs only to study a bit of Persian, Asian and Islamic history…

In WWII, towards the end of that war, the Japanese used kamikaze attacks out of sheer desperation and if they hadn’t run out of men, money and machines, they may have been successful in their efforts, radical Islam has an infinite number of ‘Jihad Warriors’, plenty of filthy rich Arab supporters that keep them well financed and a whole bunch of trucks and cars to load explosives into, and they didn’t resort to suicide attacks, they use it as a matter of everyday business and in all likelihood, they will still be using it in 10 x 10 years…

And if we’re still in Iraq 100 years from now, we’ll still have troops dying as long as those troops are basically Christian and the Iraqis, and their supporters are still Muslims…

    WTF is this shit?

Iraq now ranked second among world’s failed states

I realize that, “Fund for Peace” is involved in this report but still it’s disturbing.

Excellent point about the Islamic attitude toward our female Secretary of State. I’m not certain it would make any difference though if we had a male Secty of State if they are non-Muslim. As Infidels, we mean nothing to them. They can lie, cheat and steal in regards to Infidels and it is Allah’s will. Conversely, if we had a Muslim Secty of State, we couldn’t trust him (it wouldn’t be a her). So, conclusion is, it is a no-win situation when dealing with Islamic countries by diplomacy. The only diplomacy they understand is force. The one with the biggest army/whatever wins until the next “biggest” comes along.
