LAS VEGAS (AP) – A broken O.J. Simpson has been sentenced to at least 15 years in prison for a Las Vegas hotel armed robbery by a judge who rejected his apology and said, “It was much more than stupidity.”
Simpson stood stone-faced Friday when Judge Jackie Glass quickly rattled off his punishment after he pleaded with her that he didn’t mean to steal from anybody when he tried to retrieve memorabilia.
He appeared ready to break down in tears as he told that he was “sorry and confused” before going into a rambling and emotional 5-minute declaration.
“I didn’t want to steal anything from anyone … I’m sorry, sorry,” he said.
Glass ruled before sentencing that Simpson cannot be freed on bail pending possible appeal.

At last! The son of a bitch got away with 2 murders. Anyone with half a brain KNOWS that he killed Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman. Only in the state of Liberalism would that have happened. Star power was strong for O.J., he has ridden his *star power* for years.
I think it’s funny actually, Simpson got prison time for this last stunt after being allowed to walk on several other similarly stupid acts. It is MY opinion that after all of the BS he was allowed to get by with, Simpson felt rather invulnerable! He felt *bullet proof*. He honestly believed he could get by with anything. He is, after all, the GREAT O.J. Simpson!
It’s a bit late for the Goldman and Brown families but I hope this gives them some satisfaction. And Simpson should consider himself rather lucky. He could have been put away for a lot longer time than he was given. The Judge, Jackie Glass, was entirely too lenient in MY opinion.
Prison shouldn’t be too hard on Simpson though, he’ll *play* on his *star* status, and the old *A brother just can’t catch a break* routine. He won’t be playing golf, but he’ll have 3 meals a day, a roof over his head and health care at the expense of the state of Nevada. That’s a hell of a lot more than he deserves!
EDIT TO ADD and CLARIFY: Simpson could serve up to 33 years but could be eligible for parole after nine years, according to Elana Roberto, the judge’s clerk.

And as an after thought: I wonder? Who is going to look for the REAL killer of Nicole and Ronald Goldman now that O.J. is out of the picture for the next 9 years minimum??

I wonder if whatever prison of which he will be assigned will put him in general population or confine him for his own safety. From reports on similar situations, the real fear of some inmate wanting to make street cred for himself may and probably will try to harm Simpson. Not that I’m overly concerned about it.
Yeah, that would just break my heart if someone shanked his worthless ass…
Then again he could become a Muslim in prison like so many of his fellow criminals. Then he can admit to killing his ex-wife. After all it is allowed in Islam.
I’m sure it’s to much to hope he gets stuck in the general prisonn population and celled with a couple of guys named LeRoy and Lance…both weight lifters clocking in at 6′ 6″ and 340 lbs….
