Bush Defends Military Buildup in Iraq
July 4th, 2007 . by TexasFredMARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) – President Bush defended his Iraq war policy in a patriotic Fourth of July talk, saying that while he honors the sacrifice of U.S. troops, now is not the time to bring them home.
Bush said victory in Iraq will require “more patience, more courage and more sacrifice.â€
Mr. Bush, I too honor the sacrifices made by our troops and I respect each and every one of them that are serving this nation today, in the future and in days past, that has never been the issue, not for me, simply because I know this: our troops will go anywhere YOU order them to go and will, if allowed to do their jobs, they will kick the living crap out of any enemy they face, and THAT is where my issue with YOU comes into play…
Just how much “more patience, more courage and more sacrifice†do you think the U.S. military and the citizens of this nation are going to be forced to endure on behalf of a people that won’t stand and fight for their own freedom?? How long do WE keep losing American lives and pouring American tax dollars down this bottomless pit called Iraq??
We’re standing and fighting for a people that harbor the very enemy we are trying to drive out, the enemy that kills our troops, an enemy that is so deeply embedded in the Iraq military and police that it may never be purged, how much “more patience, more courage and more sacrifice†do you think it’s going to take??
The American people want to know and we deserve an honest answer, and I know that we’ll NEVER get that from you…
“If we were to quit Iraq before the job is done, the terrorists we are fighting would not declare victory and lay down their arms. They would follow us here,†Bush said at the West Virginia Air National Guard.
And that Mr. President, the part about “They would follow us hereâ€, that is the biggest line of BULLSHIT you’ve laid out there for quite a while…
Tell us Mr. President, tell us ALL, just how is that going to happen if YOUR Homeland Security Administration Director, Michael Chertoff, is really doing HIS job, if the Border Patrol, INS and a myriad of other enforcement agencies are doing THEIR jobs, if they are ALLOWED to DO their jobs, just how in the hell are the terrorists going to follow us here??
Mr. Bush, I have had little respect for your management capabilities for quite some time, and now, after that ridiculous statement from you, I have got to say, you Sir, are either the biggest damned fool to ever inhabit the Oval Office or your are a liar of monumental proportions…
The war, in its fifth year, has claimed the lives of more than 3,580 U.S. military men and women. The offensive in Baghdad and areas to the north and south has boosted American casualties, although the number of bombings and shootings has fallen in the city in recent days.
“It’s a tough fight, but I wouldn’t have asked those troops to go into harm’s way if the fight was not essential to the security of the United States of America,†Bush said during a half-hour speech that echoed off the walls of a cavernous aircraft maintenance hangar.
And again I say, YOU are a liar, you have lied to the American people at every turn of this debacle in Iraq, you may believe that this “fight is essential to the security of the United States†but no one else does, and you have mismanaged, or micromanaged it until it has become an untenable situation, we should have had Iraq fully pacified, fully controlled and in OUR hands within 30 days of the time we set foot on their soil…
The United States military won WWII in less than 4 years, a WORLD WAR, and we are now into the 5th year of this war in Iraq, a nation approximately the size of Texas, and all you can do is ask for “more patience, more courage and more sacrifice?
What kind of dumbasses do you take the American people for Sir??
Mr. Bush, I am seriously beginning to believe the left might be onto something by calling for your removal from office, you are the biggest disaster to EVER happen to the United States military, and I include the Carter and Clinton administrations in that comparison…
And Mr. Bush, I am NOT anti war, not by any stretch of the imagination, but I am dead set against this thing you have foisted off on the American people as an action necessary to OUR freedom…
In 1836 a band of rag-tag volunteers ran the Mexican army OUT of Texas, I can’t fathom WHY the U.S. military, in all it’s might hasn’t been able to dislodge al-Qaida from Iraq, other than to look at the leader OF that Army and seriously doubt his ability to lead ANYTHING…

Well, I might step out and say something here…this is fearful territory. I agree with you about much of this but I do not think pulling out is an option right now. I do think winning while we are there is an option we can handle, but of course, we are not allowed to do so.
I believe we should set up tent cities and move everyone in Baghdad to the tent cities – then blow up all the IED’s and any sign of humanity still left in the area. The tent cities remain until the Iraqi’s have sold out all the terrorists. No one goes home until…. Will be necessary to repeat the same in other cities. It must easier to guard a huge tent city than to walk or drive down a road in Baghdad. I understand that the people are miserable now – they just be more miserable – and I’m not being flip or funny. There’s is a bigger price to pay, and they must pay it, because we say so.
Happy Independence Day Fred,

Well far be it for me to say something out of line here but:
If we pulled out of Iraq, removed everything American from the Middle East (which is what the MAJORITY of the Islamic believers want) What would happen? we hear theories and possibilities all the time and none of them are good.
Do I believe that Al-Qaeda and those like them would follow us here? Hell they are already here, and we can’t do a damn thing about it because of the ACLU and CAIR and a lack of nuts from the top down.
Would gas prices go up? Probably, would that be a bad thing? probably.
would that help convince the folks in office to do more to move to alternative fuels? Damn right it would.
Could we then secure our border and protect the homeland from invasions from the south? HELL NO, not with the current admin and liars in office now.
Oh well sorry to rant Fred, but there seems to be two options now where Iraq is concerned, Leave or Stay the course (Until the CIC is removed). I don’t like either.
You said right there in a nutshell.
Something just isn’t right about this War on Terror, it’s not making any sense anymore.
This isn’t a war, it’s a few little fights here and there, Iraq & Afghanistan.
I really feel that the relationship between the Bush family and the Saudi Royal family is playing a much bigger role than we know, why else would we be screwing with these people. IMO.
I know many think I’m crazy to think that Saudi Arabia is involved. I believe that when we have a leader that has the balls to confront the Saudi’s, than we will have a leader that want’s to win this so called War on Terror.
Our troops, fighting for the life, liberty and the pursuit and happiness for a bunch of ungrateful, untameable, uncivilized sand niggers who don’t want what Bush is trying ( and failing miserably ) to impose.
Those people don’t have a choice, and never will, to live any other way than barbaric or have your throat slit, executed at point blank range.
Meanwhile we are continually being invaded here at home by a bunch of illegals from only God knows where; thugs, drug dealers, rapists, child molesters, future terrorists, even more sand [worthless] niggers.
We need to square ourselves away over here and secure our own country.
If we can’t do that over here, then how in the Hell can we do it for another country??
I don’t know the answer. We leave over there they win hands down and the shit spreads even further and yes I believe it’ll come back to bite us in the ass.
Bush, is one DAMN idiot. I truly HATE that asshat.
