The millionth truce/cease fire agreement between Israel and Hamas will be different.

You got to be kidding. Any acceptance of a peace deal with an enemy that won’t recognize your existence and who believes a lie to there benefit is honorable, is pure stupidity. Just do what needs doing. The world isn’t going to hate you any more or less.

Get it over with and give real peace to your people.

Hamas is terrified, it is losing, its rockets are only angering the Israelis and it cannot gets its dead baby message out to the world. Heck it can’t even call anyone up (the phones are all dead). It needs a truce.

Israel on the other hand is not looking for a truce, but looking at the destruction of Hamas in Gaza. Then it will stop.

To Hamas, a “truce” = a “breather” — i.e. a time to regroup, re-stock, re-arm (through more hidden tunnels), re-position their launch points, collect weapons from the dead, decide on further tactics.

Something to be utilized and then broken. That’s all a truce is to Hamas.
