Well put, I was born the son of a Vietnam Vet whom saw his share of exactly what you and many others talk about in regards to the Vietnam War, the comparisons and so forth.

He was no REMF, so I do listen intently, and everything you say is alot of what I've heard from his own mouth. Plus my own interests and studying it.

You cannot win a war this way period. I get so upset sometimes that'll smoke a half a pack a cigarettes in a very short time trying to figure this BS out. The WTF was ever learned from the Vietnam War?? Apparently not a damn thing.

So damn sad too, the military's not to blame in no way shape or form and you're so right we do not fight guerrilla warfare very well.

But unlike those in Washington, the military adapts, they learn.

When I was in it was all about learning maneuver warfare, the hey diddle diddle right up the middle was all but history.

I think we need to start treating these damn little towns, villages, or whatever the fuck like the WW2 island hopping campaign and overwhelm those bastards with everything we've got.

Then atop the mountain of rubble where Baghdad once stood raise OUR colors. A scene reminiscent to one on Mt. Suribachi.

If that don't end it, the atomic bomb was dropped in 2 separate locations on Japan to save lives in the long run on both sides and put an end to it once and for all.

I'd rather there be a parallel to WW2 then Nam in the end.

To Hell with the human shields, that BS is one reason we CANT pop their asses when we want too, but they sure will pop ours.
