I received your e-mail about this post, and I wanted to say Thank You for the “Heads-Up”, and to congratulate you on your stand for the most vulnerable elements of our society, our children.

Your post motivated me to do a post of my own along these lines, and to share with my readers, a personal family tragedy where my 12 year old cousin was abducted, raped, and then sadistically murdered by a sexual predator in 1978.

WHAT an eye opener! You merely type in your address and the registry comes up with scumbags in your area! We don’t have to GUESS…we can see right away! You can also get a listing by their actual address and two or three apartment complexes right in my area have 4 or more scumbags living in the same complex! I know people at our Parole and Probation department, so I copied those addresses in an email to them…scumbags aren’t supposed to live in close proximity to each other–so I screamed and tattled. We’ll see if there’s a response.

My youngest daughter is 12 and, frankly, is kind of a dingbat–a perfectly normal, pre-teen dingbat. I wouldn’t have her any other way. Nor do I want to scare her–so, when WE walk the dog or WE go on bike rides, it’s simply–in her eyes–because mom wants to spend time with her. In reality, it’s to keep her safe. What happened to her older sister IS NOT going to happen to her. Not on my watch.

And, like I said above, if I could manage to get away with it, I’d get rid of the bastard who molested my oldest (her own friggin father).

I can also recall, a few years prior to that, a video I had seen on the news where the father of a molested child (and the incident was caught on an airport cam) loitered near a pay phone and, when the suspect was walked by — escorted by law enforcement — the father came up behind the suspect and shot him dead.

This is clearly completely impolitically correct but, were I on a jury for either or both of these two cases, I would consider my primary job to convince the rest of the jury to embed a finding of NOT GUILTY.
