ROCKVILLE, MD. — A Liberian native once held on charges of repeatedly raping and molesting a 7-year-old girl was rearrested Monday night after missing a court hearing, according to a report in the Washington Post.
Mahamu D. Kanneh, 23, of Gaithersburg, Md., was arrested Monday in Philadelphia on charges he allegedly failed to appear in court on Aug. 3 at a hearing involving a prosecution effort in Montgomery County, Md., to reinstate the rape charges, the paper reports.
Kanneh was arrested after trying to elude Philadelphia police and it appeared he’d moved to the city from Maryland, the Post said. Kanneh could be extradited back to Maryland as early as Thursday.
Last month, a judge dropped all charges in Kanneh’s case because an interpreter who spoke the suspect’s rare West African dialect could not be found.
Judge Katherine Savage ruled on July 17 that Kanneh, a Liberian who received asylum in the U.S. and attended high school and community college here, was denied a speedy trial after three years awaiting a court-appointed interpreter who could speak the tribal language of Vai. Linguists estimate that only 100,000 people speak Vai.
There IS a solution!
But, I am guessing that there would be those that would jump to the defense of THIS monster too, I mean, he does have a constitutional right to his actions, doesn’t he??
There’s always someone that will seek to defend the indefensible, and a child molester, a child rapist, and a pedophile is an indefensible person…

There was no need for this human genetic error to have an interpreter for his weird West African dialect since he ATTENDED A us HIGH SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY COLLEGE THAT USED ENGLISH to teach. This is another game played by an idiot or activist judge who does not want to do their job BUT wants the pay and importance.
Maybe Fred’s icon above is the right one. I am tired of malfeasance in office and intentional vigorous stupidity. Maybe we should get enough ropes to hang’em all. It may come to that before we regain order and common sense in this country.
Had that song in mind when I wrote this one, but I doubt if it’s constitutional…

I still say give ‘em all to Michael Vick and his ilk, and let them fight to the death. Gives the blood and guts thrill seekers something to do, and no actual animals are harmed. I know that sounds downright hateful..tacky , even…but the truth is, only the defensless are preyed upon, and I can’t take it any more. Whether it’s children, the elderly, or any of God’s creatures….I will not tolerate it anymore. I do not think paedo’s fit into any of God’s creatures, either…just my own personal belief.
