Govt. Stepping Up Immigration Efforts

August 9th, 2007 . by TexasFred

WASHINGTON – The Bush administration plans to step up immigration enforcement by raising fines on employers who hire undocumented workers, overhauling temporary worker programs and speeding up deployment of border agents, according to a summary of the plans.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez planned to announce broad immigration changes at a news conference Friday.

There’s an old euphemism that comes to mind regarding the horse and the barn door, and all this is pretty much a waste of time until that door is closed, and repaired so it only swings in the OUT direction…

Some of the initiatives are similar to proposals contained in recent immigration legislation, although they are not nearly as sweeping as the bill that failed to pass the Senate. Other measures are already under way.

An outline of the announcement, obtained by The Associated Press from a congressional aide, said the administration plans to expand the list of international gangs whose members are automatically denied admission to the U.S., reduce processing times for immigrant background checks and install by the end of the year an exit system so the departure of foreigners from the country can be recorded at airports and seaports.

C’mon, lets get serious here, the Bush administration is the weakest IMMIGRATION administration that I personally have ever seen, enforcement is a joke, they put Border Patrol Agents out there and tell em to do a job then they lock them up for doing it…

They tell the American people they’re going to build a wall, along about 1/3 the length of the entire border, now there’s a brainstorm if you ever heard one, what about the OTHER 2/3 of the border?? Just askin’…

They put National Guard troops on the border, and then give them NO authority, no weapons and allow them to do NOTHING, now that is what I call a ‘Dog and Pony Show’, and I don’t say that to denigrate the Guard, they would secure every inch of that border if allowed to, but, therein lies the problem, the Bush administration isn’t going to allow a damn thing to happen that will effect Pedro and the Pendejos, and that’s not some mariachi band from Juarez by the way…

In addition, employers will face possible criminal sanctions if they don’t fire employees unable to clear up problems with their Social Security numbers.

The people that employ the wetbacks need to be penalized, but there’s a catch here too, FIRE the illegals they say?? OK, am I the only one that sees the impending increase to the welfare rolls and food stamps, government provided health care and any other social program the unemployed can qualify for??

Look, I am all for helping those that can’t help themselves, but I am a real hard-ass about charity, and we are about to take on millions of charity cases, the U.S. doesn’t have the GUTS to round em up and deport the ILLEGALS, there will be some bleeding heart libber in charge and hardship cases will be the order of the day, mark my words on it…

Bush and Company are almost 6 years too late on this one, and it’s not like since 9-11 MANY of us haven’t been screaming bloody murder about securing this nation, what I see here is another weak-assed, pandering plan to try and make the Bush administration look somewhat competent just prior to the upcoming election cycle, thus maybe, just maybe not giving the Dems a strong point to fight from, and hopefully giving the Repubs a bit of a charge in the coming days…

If this action was being put into play 2 years ago, I would be singing the praises of the POTUS for it, but this late in the game all I see is another attempt to appease the Repubs and an attempt to pander the Conservatives, too little, too ineffective and WAY too late to be considered a sincere attempt at solving the illegal immigration problems of this nation…

IMO, anything that has his name attached to it in this way are all decoys and complete misrepresentations of his true globalist agendas.

All the while he and his political cronies continue to assist in the construction of the NAU and the destruction of American sovereignty.

Hey, Bush and Co. want to make it look like something is being done. Did you see Lindsey Graham on the tube? He did a flip flop I couldn’t believe it. He is now for enforcing our laws. his ass is out next election. I think the voters will remember who voted for the illegals.

When I was in the USAF I was stationed at a B-52 nuke bomber base where I actually worked on minuteman II missile sites. We were told every few days what time the Soviet spy satellites would be overhead and likely photographing us to see what we had on the alert pads. Well we had a dozen or so old gutted B-52’s that we would tow around the base and put on diff alert pads and ramp areas so it looked like we had twice as many nuke bombers on alert as we relly did.

That was called “eyewash” and from what the intel guys told us it worked rather well.

The Bush administrations attempts at trying to convince us that they give a shit about protecting our borders is also nothing more than eyewash. And I for one am not fooled a damn bit.

Can an illegal alien apply for and recieve unemployment benefits?

I take pride in being a giving person. However, I am growing very tired of working to support illegals and the lazy legal citizens.
