What is the fascination with the word CZAR?

Can anyone explain to me WHY we have appointed individuals, appointed by the executive branch of this government, appointed to positions of power and oversight?

Appointed, NOT elected, and tell me WHY those individuals are being given the title of CZAR?

Does the federal government, the ones that are handing this CZAR title out like it’s some kind of great honor, do they have any indication of what a CZAR really is or what the history of the Czars is?

czar – noun
1. an emperor or king.
2. (often initial capital letter) the former emperor of Russia.
3. an autocratic ruler or leader.
4. any person exercising great authority or power in a particular field: a czar of industry.

The Romanov Dynasty begins in 1613 and ends with the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. Explore Russia’s rich history through the lives of some of its most famous leaders. Click on a date and meet face-to-face with the rulers of the House of Romanov. SOURCE

Why do the American people need to be overseen by numerous CZARS? Is there some hidden reference, a subtle, or maybe a not so subtle warning in this CZAR thing?

Not only the Communists but many of their critics (such as Solzhenitsyn) have swiftly dismissed the idea that czarism was an important influence upon Communist theory and practice. But the evidence is compelling.

Communism first took hold in Russia, a nation with a centuries-old reputation for despotism, servility, and brutality. The Marquis de Custine, whose Letters from Russia (1839) led many to dub him “the de Tocqueville of Russia” observed that “Government in Russia is military discipline in the place of civil order, a state of siege which has become the normal state of society.” This authoritarian tradition strongly influenced the Russian Marxists, and through them much of the world socialist movement. Some of the important features of czarism that Communism drew upon and intensified included: More Here

Czars, and their absolute power, lead to very bad things. Totalitarianism, Marxism, the Bolsheviks, Communism, all of the things that Russia suffered as it evolved into the Soviet Union.

Russia, in contrast, was for centuries marked by the extraordinary concentration of power in the hand of a single man, the czar. Ivan III began the use of the term, a Russified version of “caesar.” From the Byzantine Empire, the Russians acquired not only the Eastern Orthodox faith, but also a careful theoretical defense of absolute and undivided power.

When one of the czars went too far, dissidents normally had to submit or turn to violent rebellion. Before 1917, the last truly significant civil unrest ended in 1613, when the Romanov dynasty assumed the throne. The Romanovs carefully cemented their nation’s tradition of total and autocratic power. Within a generation, the Romanovs cast off the oversight of the nobility; Czar Peter the Great, assuming power in 1696, tightened the monarchy’s grip even further: SOURCE: Czarist Origins of Communism

It’s all about the POWER, and the ABSOLUTE POWER that the one in charge can exercise over the common man. Russia was dominated by the Czars and there was only one way to rid Russia of the Czars, and that was the Russian Revolution, a revolution that brought the Bolsheviks to power and eventually led to the communist regime that Russia became, and for all purposes and intents, still is today.

The Russian Revolution is the series of revolutions in Russia in 1917, which destroyed the Tsarist autocracy and led to the creation of the Soviet Union. In the first revolution in February 1917 (March in the Gregorian calendar) the Czar was deposed and replaced with the Provisional government, and in the second revolution in October the Provisional Government was removed and replaced with a Bolshevik (Communist) government. I don’t intend to come across as a harbinger of doom, but it’s got to be said, it must be pointed out, the United States is getting very close to this revolution, and that places ALL of us on a slippery slope. We can’t allow a Bolshevik style revolution to take place. We can’t allow the government of this nation to become any MORE oppressive than it already has, and becomes, more every day.

I am not advocating a revolution, an overthrow of the government of the United States, at least, not a violent overthrow. What I do suggest, and what I hope to see happen, is for the American people to return to their CONSERVATIVE roots, the ethics and values that built this nation. We MUST have an overthrow, we MUST have an immediate change in policy or this nation is sunk.

If that change can’t be achieved in a peaceful manner, through civil discourse and voting, then let history be our guide and let the chips fall where they may!

God please, SAVE America! Barring that, may God BLESS the great Republic of Texas and give our state the divine guidance and leadership we’ll need to stand as a FREE Republic!

  1. Fred,

Although I don’t worry as much about the word “Czar” (mostly because it had been first used by the Reagan administration to describe the “Drug Czar” who’s responsibility was to get the leaders of the drug cartels in Columbia if I remember correctly) But I do however agree that this country is getting the shaft from the current illegal administration. I also believe that we do need to get back to the conservative policies that made this country what it was for over 200 years. I feel that it is the time now to field as many conservative candidates as possible, In the Conservative party, The libertarian party, Even the now beat up Republicans need to get back to Conservatism. We also NEED to get back to the “Original Intent” of a government By and For the people! this BS with the illegal immigrant who sits in the Oval Office needs to end. I want to see the original Long form birth certificate, All of his college transcripts and why he could travel to Pakistan when Americans were not allowed. If I cannot get a job without my “long form” why can he sit in the Oval office whithout showing me his? As far as an overthrow? We will have to vote that to happen but we will also have to make a LOT of noise until then. Keep Blogging, Writing, Posting, Talking to anyone who will listen. I am with you Fred!

Michael, I know, Reagan did it, and I disliked it even then..

Compared to the scum that have held office since, Reagan was a really good POTUS, but even HE wasn’t perfect… He was into amnesty as well…

Ref:”I am not advocating a revolution, an overthrow of the government of the United States…”

Obama and the New World Order crowd has been advocating the overthrow of the government of the United States for quite some time. Remember this:

“1954 — Senator William Jenner said:
“Today the path to total dictatorship in the United States can be laid by strictly legal means, unseen and unheard by the Congress, the President, or the people… outwardly we have a Constitutional government. We have operating within our government and political system, another body representing another form of government, a bureaucratic elite which believes our Constitution is outmoded and is sure that it is the winning side…. All the strange developments in the foreign policy agreements may be traced to this group who are going to make us over to suit their pleasure…. This political action group has its own local political support organizations, its own pressure groups, its own vested interests, its foothold within our government, and its own propaganda apparatus.”

    So what’s happening? now!

  4. TexasFred says:

Dammit Norm, I’m trying to stay OFF of the *no fly* list… :?

  5. Robert says:

Truthfully I have no problem with CERTAIN areas of Government being over seen by “Czar” or whatever… I’d like to see a “TRUTH CZAR” to oversee the LIES Obama is telling. I’d like to see a “Constitution CZAR” to make sure Obama, Reid and Pelosi quit wiping their ass with it. I’d like to see a GUN Czar, to make sure the three mentioned before keep their FN hands off my GUNS.

Obama is going to have 200 “Czars” that do nothing but make it possible for true dictatorship….We are on the doorstep of a revolution Fred, and when the sheep wake up to the wolves at their door there will be an awakening.

  6. Katie says:

We have too many czars. Funny how Obama loves to use that word. Interesting would be more like it.

  7. Doc Roy says:

I see some are not worried about these so-called “czars.” Well, you’d better be. These are now 21, TWENTY ONE, of these un-elected, un-approved by the Senate radicals. Some of the most radical appointees of the Obama “team” are these czars. They answer only to the Obama. The Obama cabinet is literally being pushed aside and these czars are doing the dirty work for the Obama. Hilary is so pushed aside she is lowered to telling the Chinese how to work on women’s rights. One, the “car czar” is only 31 years of age, not yet out of the law school he is attending, and he is in charge of dismantling the major part of the auto industry—GM and Chrysler. He has never been on an auto assembly line! Another is even younger and he is in charge of the Obama monetary machinations. PEOPLE, GO ON-LINE AND LOOK UP THE LISTING OF THIS “GROUP” AND BE VERY, VERY AFRAID.

  8. Doc Roy says:

Fred…I’m coming on again. Why? Because I’m very alarmed over this czar business. Just now there are some big people in Washington who are beginning to squirm and sweat over these so-called Czars. They are so radical, young, untested, unconcerned about the American people, and determined to do their and Obama’s dirty work: un-constrained by the Congress and the constitution. This czar business is a very dirty, dangerous gambit.

  9. “I’m telling you it’s a communist plot!”

I heard that so many times that the shock value wore off. Ya’ know what? It was true…

    Molon Labe!

  10. There is a deeper meaning to the word “czar.” Yes, it stems from the Russian Czars. But the Russians stole the word from the Romans, as the word “czar” is a corruption of the word CAESAR.

Think about THAT for a moment if you will, then apply it to today.

Just a bit of a shudder went through you just then, yes?
