There was a rumor about an ammunition limit years ago, and Clinton made some noises about one in order to stop private “arsenals” from existing. However, I’ve never been able to locate anything more concrete than that. Perhaps someone else might know the answer.

Over 6 billion rounds of ammunition bought by American Citizens since December 1, 2008.

Speaking of ammo, I was talking to our former County Sheriff and he was saying there’s a federal law that limits a person to 2,000 rounds of ammunition. Anybody ever hear of that?

Patrick – You have nit the nail right on the head. Ayn Rand said something similar in her book Atlas shrugged. She wrote something like “The Government has the most control over criminals…so…if you don’t have enough control over the citizens you make criminals out of them by passing so many laws that it’ is impossible for men to live without breaking a them.” Something like that. I guess I should dust the book off and re-read it. It has lots of parallels with what’s happening today.
BobF has it right when he says stock up now. Boy is that ever true!! I”ve been trying to encourage some of our families friends to do take heed and prepare. It’s not exactly falling on deaf ears, since they agree, but are not ready to do anything…yet. None of them served nor did other members of their family. Nothing negative about that. Nice folks, Conservative, love their Country. Maybe its the fact that I and all my brothers, my father, all my uncles honorably served our Country. My wife’s family also. And, as a Vet you don’t see things through rose colored glasses and are not easily fooled by ‘Those Great, Wonderful, Truthful, Always-Upholding-the-Constitution, and Care-About-You POLITICIANS”! This is precisely why years ago I said to stop using the “law abiding citizen” terminology! All these jerkwads need to do is change the law. Notably, since the passage of the Domestic Violence Act, ex post facto law, is the law of the land. So, if you ever did it in your entire life (broke the new law) you could be banned. All they need to do, again, is change the law…

Or, in this case, they don’t need to make a new law, just change a definition over at the DOJ.

This is why you need to get them now. The time will come when purchasing a gun will be denied for the reason’s Fred listed: we blog, we speak out, we’re involved in the TEA Party protests, we’re veterans, we have military combat experience, we own guns.

I can almost envision a background check to purchase a gun like the type you have to go through for a security clearance. If it comes to that, you best know your parents background to when they were children.

Vigilante – Agree! I think all the bums need to go……Administration, Congress, and most of the Supreme Court (including the current nominee). Our Country has real enemies out there. Iran and North Korea come to mind. So instead of all this focus on us so-called domestic terrorists, we need to be preparing for a real engagement. I have been following the commentaries by J. D. Longstreet on Faultline USA Blog/feed. He’s been hitting the nail on the head! He has something to say today about the “Real” Terrorists who threaten this Country. It’s right on the mark!

Now then, we should not only buy BULLETS AND BEANS and KEEP OUR POWDER DRY, but start some kind of a campaign to see that this dickjerkin asswipe don’t get reelected EVER AGAIN. Put HIS ASS on OUR terror list and make sure the name stays there and don’t get the chance to resurface somewhere else unless it’s the obiturary column. I’m sick, and gettin sicker of these crooked, bribe takin, ass suckin political dumbtards. They are encapable of working at a decent job, so they just keep trying to get elected so they can set on their dead ass and write stupid bills like this, and WE pay him for it. One more straw they’re trying to lay on us. One of these days they’ll try the last straw, and then it’ll be Katy Bar the Door time! We shouldn’t be surprised though. The good thing is that there’s a lot of stupidity in their ranks and one or another of them always tips their hand!!! Thank the Lord for that. Bottom line is:
BULLETS AND BEANS, every chance you get!!
That’s become my family’s motto. So much so that all those neat gun purchases that I was saving up for, like USFA Single Action, Shiloh Sharps Rifle,etc.) have been put on hold. And the focus now is on what my family and I will need for the up-coming fight. The neat wish list will have to wait until that’s over, and we have our Country back on track.

Thank you Fred for keeping us informed! The MSM certainly doesn’t do it. But of course, I forgot, they are now the Usurper’s Public Relations Firms …especially OBC (formerly ABC).
