As head of the RNC Michael Steele has been a major dissapointment. We need him to stand up loudly and string against this presidents policues and he has failed to do that. Finally he has spoken out about Obama’s healthcare plan, it is about time. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

@ Longstreet: The may *think* they are playing us, and it may work with some folks, not with you or me or our readers obviously.

I will never again fall for the GOP BS, the *Big Tent* politics, the *almost Conservative* stance of the GOP, I will NOT settle for the lesser of anything ever again.

If the GOP/RNC can’t get their act together and ALL of their oars in the water, I will continue to vote INDEPENDENT and/or Libertarian.

Personally, I wish that Texas would tell them ALL to kiss off and go ahead with the secession that many of us KNOW is coming sooner or later.

I don’t trust him! I think the RNC has just figured out – from the volume of letters, phone calls, and e-mail they have been receiving from us ole mossback conservatives about ObamaCare that they have been on the wrong side of the issue and they NEED US AGAIN to make any kind of headway in the elections in 2010. THEY ARE PLAYING US AGAIN!!!!

Folks, I am NOT denigrating Steele because he’s black, I think Steele is being used as a tool, he’s a high profile *token black* for the GOP and is offered up as the sacrificial lamb…

Story Time.
When I first went into the Navy, I was 18 and very naive.Around 1988, Texas Country girl.
I had to go TAD (Tempory Assigned Duty) to the Post Office. I didn’t know what to do, and working with the US Mail is a pain in the BUTT. We were always getting into trouble. Not meaning to, but there are so many laws.
Anyway a Black lady really took me under her wing, gave me extra advice and I thought she was my friend.
I was going to the Exchange one Day, saw her with some of her Black friends, went over to say “Hi” to her and she turned her back on me and wouldn’t even acknowledge me. I couldn’t believe it. I learned my lesson. One will be your friend. Watch your back with a Pack.
Somethings you have to learn on your own, as so many of us have had to do. Sorry so long.

Maybe that is the answer.
