Charley: I think that's a wonderful ploy -- and I do believe that I am going to steal that one. Thank you for the suggestion.

When I hit 50 AARP started sending me crap. I used their post paid envelopes to send all the stuff right back to them, along with lots of paper out of the shredder, the odd crushed aluminum can, scraps of wood, you get the idea. It makes them pay more for the postage. I actually learned this tactic from a USPS employee who told me to tape the reply envelope to a brick. This worked real well with the Sierra Club and Greenpeace too. Needless to say, it didn't take long for them to stop mailing their crap.

I guess a lot of *Seniors*, ie: AARP members, missed the memo...

The AARP is one of the biggest anti-gun lobbies in the USA, THAT is ALL the reason I ever needed, never sent em a thing except a NASTY letter telling them what to do with their AARP applications in the future...

As BobF points out, AARP is still behind this bastardo. THAT'S how "in the tank" THEY are for the Free Cheese.

Age clearly doesn't necessarily bring much wisdom.

For past three decades, senior citizens have overwhelmingly supported Democrats, thinking they would take care of them. Now that liberal democrats have full control of government and with organizations like ACORN to ensure future elections go Democrat, seniors may full realise their golden years are going to turn to coal. In the not too distant future, most of us readers here will be in that group. If Democrats remain in control with RINO backers in 2010 and 2012, America as we knew it will cease to exist.
