Iraq’s al-Maliki lashes out at Clinton

August 26th, 2007 . by TexasFred

BAGHDAD – Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri al-al-Maliki lashed out on Sunday at U.S. Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton who had called for him to be replaced.

In a sign of increased tension between him and Washington, al-Maliki also criticized the U.S. military for killing civilians.

“There are American officials who consider Iraq as if it were one of their villages, for example Hillary Clinton and Carl Levin,” al-Maliki told a news conference.

“This is severe interference in our domestic affairs. Carl Levin and Hillary Clinton are from the Democratic Party and they must demonstrate democracy,” he said. “I ask them to come to their senses and to talk in a respectful way about Iraq.”

Dang, the Dems have gone and done it now, they have pissed off al-Maliki, that would have ME nervous, he may know where the WMD’s are and he might be getting them ready to use on the the DNC convention next summer…

Wait, that’s really not a bad… Nah, even I can’t be that mean…

Al-Maliki criticized the U.S. military for killing civilians during raids in Shiite areas of Baghdad, which have provoked demonstrations by mourners and condemnation from Shiite groups.

“We have said this many times before. When you want to arrest someone it is not acceptable to go there and kill another 10 innocent people or destroy houses. These are violations.”

Al, uh, is it OK if I call you Al?? al-Maliki is a lot to type each time, anyway, Al, I would be willing to take bets that the commanding officers and mission planners didn’t go into the pre-mission briefing with the idea of seeing just how many of YOUR citizens could be killed, we’re not Islamic terrorists Al, that’s YOUR religions thing man, blowing up everyone in the square, not ours…

On Tuesday the U.S. ambassador in Baghdad, Ryan Crocker, called al-Maliki’s government’s progress “extremely disappointing.” But the following day Bush said: “Prime Minister Maliki is a good guy, a good man, with a difficult job and I support him.”

Ambassador Crocker spoke the truth, and the day before he flip-flopped, George Bush spoke the truth too when he said Al and Company had to do more to take care of Iraq, but then Bush went into Iraqi ass kissing mode Presidential PC mode because Al said he would go play with his other friends…

I never thought I would live to see the day that an American president would kiss the ass be so politically correct where a former war lord was concerned…

Al-Maliki did hint at a positive political step, saying the Sunni Arab Islamic Party would join leading Shiite and Kurdish parties who agreed last week to work together to support a national unity government. The Islamic Party denied this.

Well Al, actions speak louder than words, and your words are quite hollow, you’d better be glad I’m not the POTUS, I would never kiss your smelly ass, I’m not a politically correct kind of guy, for one thing, I’d have left you guys to suffer under Saddam as I developed him into a viable asset, that’s right, an ASSET, and used HIM to fight Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia too, you see, Saddam was a whore, religion wasn’t his motivator, money was, and he was open to the highest bidder, he had all the oil, and had our POTUS used a lick of common sense, he would have put his personal differences aside and developed Saddam as an asset, not an ALLY, an asset, he’d have taken advantage OF Saddam, placed the USA in a powerful position as the sole protector of Iraq and then just gone ahead and made Iraq the 51st state, hell, it would be a lot cheaper than the road we’re on now…

Talk about your Iraqi Freedom?? Disney Baghdad would be a hell of a vacation for those that like a ‘dry heat’…

Wow…potent stuff, Fred. Lot to think about …
Personally, as a still recovering Democrat, I could care less what Al does to that party. Finding a democrat that tells the truth is like trying to walk on water…ain’t gonna happen.

Interesting thought about grooming Saddam into an asset. It could have worked.

Also, we could have done in Iraq what we did in German and Japan after WWII and that was use their ex-government leaders in positions of leadership, under strict supervision of course. We used former Nazi’s in Germany because they had the “corporate” knowledge to run things; same with Japan. Not only did it get things done, it made them allies instead of insurgents. It took a while but it worked.

Saddam hated America, there was no way he would ever have been bent to aid the US. We had taken his sons, his kingdom, everything he wanted and desired, and even with all the money in the world, he would have plotted and schemed to get back at the US.

No, it was best to let him swing.

As we would have done with Hitler had he not done himself.
