It worked so well. People were screened for diseases and criminal records before entering the US, so the majority that came in were ready to work and contribute. It worked pretty well. Liberals would rather see an emergence of third world diseases here in the US and criminals murdering and robbing citizens, than create a sane plan to bring them in legally so they can be effective and productive citizens. Liberals have no common sense on any issue. Remember Ellis Island? It worked so well. I use to spend two months a year below the border in fact south of Mexico City---I was single and on the make, lots of young American girls on holiday and if they were hard to find there was always the local Zona Rojo---great days. That country now has literally gone to POT and no longer the vacation paradise it was---sad!
