Living here in Odessa, it is really sad. The question is: Why did they try to mess with this guy. The wife reported he had a gun. Sure wish they had called the SWAT team and let them handle it.

BZ, Amen, and man, you said a mouth full on that one, it’s the only thing that let me sleep at night when my son was in Iraq and it’s the one thought that has given me strength through more than one death in our family, they were doing the job they loved and gave freely of themselves…

Those officers perished doing what they loved most. That is a difficult concept for many people, sometimes their families, to understand. We had two officers die last year in a helo accident. The officers understood, but the families had a difficult time realizing that their sons, their husbands, died in the performance of a duty that few can recognize. They had worked and slaved in order to acquire that position — as I suspect those Texas officers had done.

The cops and the military — the Warrior Class. No one understands them except themselves and their family — and sometimes not even their families.

There are sheep; and there are sheepdogs. You know what I mean.

Very nice prayer, I’ve never seen that before.

What a shame, and may the good Lord take care of their grieving family and friends.

It is Texas, he’ll see the death penalty, and deservingly so.
