Administration Loses Bid to Exclude Fox News From Pay Czar Interview
The Obama administration on Thursday failed in its attempt to exclude Fox News from participating in an interview of an administration official, as Republicans on Capitol Hill stepped up their criticism of the hardball tactics employed by the White House.
The Treasury Department on Thursday tried to make “pay czar” Kenneth Feinberg available for interviews to every member of the network pool except Fox News. The pool is the five-network rotation that for decades has shared the costs and duties of daily coverage of the presidency and other Washington institutions.
But the Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV networks consulted and decided that none of their reporters would interview Feinberg unless Fox News was included. The pool informed Treasury that Fox News, as a member of the network pool, could not be excluded from such interviews under the rules of the pool.
The administration relented, making Feinberg available for all five pool members and Bloomberg TV.

I love the way everything the Obama administration touches turns into EPIC FAIL! Every day that goes by, Obama and Company are outed for the wannabe tyrants they are. Every day more and more Americans are standing up TO Obama and Company and telling them HELL NO! The Obama administration is rapidly becoming the biggest TRAIN WRECK the world has ever seen.
Media analysts cheered the decision to boycott the Feinberg interview unless Fox News was included, saying the administration’s gambit was taking its feud with Fox News too far. President Obama has already declined to go on “Fox News Sunday,” even while appearing on the other Sunday shows.
“I’m really cheered by the other members saying “No, if Fox can’t be part of it, we won’t be part of it,’” said Baltimore Sun TV critic David Zurawik, calling the move to limit Feinberg’s availability “outrageous.”
“What it’s really about to me is the Executive Branch of the government trying to tell the press how it should behave. I mean, this democracy — we know this — only works with a free and unfettered press to provide information,” he said.
I applaud the other members of the MSM for standing up to Obama and Company. Even if their motives were NOT exactly meant to help FOX News.
What has happened here is, the MSM is covering itself, they know if FOX goes, they too can go at the whim of a President that has NO business being one. It’s that simple folks. The MSM was NOT doing this to help FOX, they were covering themselves and their 1st Amendment rights as well.
Make no mistake, I am happy they did, but for the record, the MSM hasn’t suddenly regained a strain of integrity or common sense, they are simply covering their own asses.

This administration is outwardly trampling on the Bill of Rights. It’s almost like they’re saying, “we’re in power and there’s nothing you can do about it”. On quite a few occasions, Obama has said, “I am the President”. He wants us to know that he’s in charge and in your face.
Robert, I wish the 2010 election was this November and not next. Things can change in a week in politics. Who knows Obama could get lucky and have Osama killed or captured on his watch—things would change over night. However, I would add that should he be captured Obama and Osama would make quite a spectacle of themselves on the national scene. Osama would have his rights read to him and the great trial of the 21th century would be on–what a ride for America with the outcome in doubt for both. But then if he killed, nothing but a plus for Obama and of course for America.

Steve Forbes was just commenting on how the administration was openly engaging in “bribes and threats” with Congress in trying to get ObamaCare passed. He simply couldn’t believe they are still thinking their “Chicago Methods” will work in Washington!!! Maybe the old adage, “You give em enough rope…”.
