Earmarking is criminal... theft from taxpayers and the way leaders buy votes and financial support from special interest groups. Anyone who defends this process needs to be VOTED OUT, and I don't care if they are elected as a dog catcher! There should be a way to bring charges against elected leaders who participate in this theft! Can you imagine how they'd look if they were served warrants in front of their pork barreling buddies??? JMHO. But of course we can't even have the locked up when they don't pay taxes!

You did a good job with this Fred! I am now working on finding out exactly what her earmarks were, which bills she attached them to and who will benefit from them ... then you can write "The rest of the story". Thank you so much for speaking boldly and helping us make informed decisions about our choices of those who will represent us. You are a patriot Sir!

This old cunt will say "if I don't get the money, then someone else will get it".
Well, I say that is what is terribly wrong in our Congress and Senate now, and all should be VOTED OUT if they feel this same way!
I do this in our Texas voting booth, and will do so every time I vote.

Good post Fred!

My family and I intend to vote for Rick in the Spring Primary. KBH is not a conservative. She is not really pro-life….gets confused on “age of viability” and other stupid ideas. She also believes in human embryonic stem cell research. A few years back, my wife and I watched her divide the Republican State Convention, in Houston, with her non-conservative views……but the party bigwigs had their way, and the Convention moved on. We don’t go (as delegates) anymore……too many RINOs for our taste!

Never in the history of This Great State of ours, has She been in more need of real, true, conservative, no-compromise leadership! Never…..not even back when She was a Republic. Back then, there were scores of men who stepped up and did the job with no compromise, no matter the odds….men like Houston, Austin, Crockett, and Bowie. Do such men still exist today? Now, in these desperate times when Texas may, again, need to be a Republic, Her true patriots Must Not Compromise, when it comes to choosing our leaders.

Rick may not be perfect, but he has True Texas Values and is pro-life, as well. He gets all the votes in my family!

It is also time for us to look hard at the rest of our elected officials at both State and local levels. It’s up to us to make sure we have the conservative candidates of our choice on the ballot so we all can vote for them. Let’s make the next Texas and local election cycle be known as the “No-Compromise Election”. Oh, and for the information on those down-ballot candidates….you’ll have to dig it out for yourself. Many of these candidates really don’t want you to know where they stand on the conservative issues we all care about, so you’ll have to dig. Start with their brochure,…you know, the one that claims they can walk on water, and everyone who knows them, says they’re a conservative (surely, you don’t believe all that horse pucky). Then call, write, e-mail, look them up on-line, etc….and make your ‘no-compromise’ decision. Of course, if they are elected, HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE!!!

My thanks to you Fred, for having this Blog and covering the conservative issues that are so vitally important!

I never cared much for Kay Bailey, but did check out the CAGW site and that's quite eye-opening. I wonder if she thinks she is buying votes by bringing home the bacon. For many of us those days are long gone. Pork barrel projects only benefit a few at the expense of all and that's what Washington has been about for years and years. Special interest have had their way for far too long. Hopefully a new wind is blowing and this change will be change we can believe in.
