Unfortunately, Tucson is showing more of its ingrained idiocy in our election today. We had 3 city council seats up for grabs, and a very particular proposition on public safety–we’re far short of even minimal police/fire/first responder employees and our city council refuses to fund them. We had 3 great, conservative candidates challenging on those seats–and they’re all losing. The public safety initiative went down in flames–we “don’t have a big enough crime wave” to get the people out to vote. Looks like 6 more years of special interests, wasted money, total corruption. I’m sick at heart and to my stomach and if I hadn’t gotten the job I now have, if I were still unemployed, I’d be packing up and leaving this hell hole for someplace that had people with brains. Or at least some place where people were waking up.

Glad you were able to get some chill time. Fishing always works for me…but it does take prep.time, driving to the lake, renting a boat, checking the tackle et al. What really works better than that, for me, is shooting some 230 grain FMJ downrange with my 1911 or XD. I’m a mellow fellow after an hour or so of that. However, these days, I’m shooting less and enjoying it less!!

Fred, your bottom line is very on-point: If you are a Citizen of this Country, YOU VOTE…in every election..no matter what!!! It’s our responsibility….no OUR DUTY, as citizens to VOTE, every time…and that also includes doing the “homework” on the candidates and/or issues to be able to vote intelligently. This includes all elections from school board, city, country, state and federal……and those Very Important PRIMARIES. That’s where we can do the most good by getting the conservative candidates, or our choice, on the general election ballot. I know you’ve tried to do this in the past…so have I. I haven’t given up, so next January thru the first Tuesday in March I’m going to be very active in trying to help the candidate of my choice win the Primary! I’m very tired of being placed in the position of “lessor-of-two-evils”. I have high hopes that this next one will be different, because of the grassroots uprising all over this Great Land of Ours!!! The Marxists and RINOS are not even going to believe what happens in 2010…even while its happening!!!!

Well, the thing is, having Republican Governors is good, Conservative is better, but remember, the Governor is a STATE guy, the real fight is the congressional seat and in 2010 they will be THE fights, Congress and Senate…

With a Conservative congress and senate, Obama is DEAD in the water and powerless…

I was on the verge of going off on someone that I really happen to like, so I walked away rather than hurt feelings unnecessarily..

I do that on occasion, but it’s got to be someone really special…

My main question is: How was the fishing?? Were they biting??

Nice weather for it!! I’ve been looking out the window at it the last several days. Man would I like to be out on a lake fishing in this weather…..wouldn’t matter if they’re biting or not!

TF, one’s rights to not have their property rights infringed upon is extremely important, especially since the left leaning people in power right now think it is their duty to “take from” those who have and give to those who have not! (Or in other terms… those who have worked their butts off and sacrificed will get their hard earned gains taken by government… taxes, fines, penalties and SEIZURE!!!! Anyone who doesn’t make their voice heard at the polls on imminent domain and property rights is an idiot. I can understand you stance on that.

On a good note, it looks like Conservatives made a huge sweep in Virginia!!! Exit polls are saying the Blue State of New Jersey may be an upset for Dems too but the race is close. People are WAKING UP!!!!

The most important b!tch I have is that if you don’t vote then you have no right to complain on how this country is run. I have voted since 1984 and I exercise my right to complain at every turn I can. Those people who incessantly complain but don’t vote are the ones who need to shut up and sit the hell down.
