Hutchison irks right by including gay judge as U.S. attorney pick

WASHINGTON – Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison has sent the White House two suggestions for the post of U.S. attorney in San Antonio. One of the candidates is a highly regarded career prosecutor and judge who also, it turns out, is openly gay.

Some Republicans are vehemently and unapologetically not ready for that. That could make it even harder for Hutchison to woo social conservatives in her bid to outflank and oust Gov. Rick Perry in March.

Tim Lambert, president of the Texas Home School Coalition, a former member of the Republican National Committee – and, like nearly all prominent social conservatives in Texas who have picked sides, a Perry supporter – called the recommendation “very unusual and disturbing.”

“I suspect that a lot of Republican primary voters would find it interesting that Senator Hutchison would make that recommendation,” Lambert said.

Well how do you like that? Kay Bailey *I AM a Conservative and I want to govern Texas* Hutchison has endorsed a homosexual to be chief prosecutor in the Western District of Texas. Can anyone be more obviously out of touch with Texas, Conservatism and the reality of LIFE in the great state of Texas than Kay Bailout Hutchison?

Hutchison has been trying for a long time to piss off Conservatives in Texas. She has no interest in building a border fence; Hutchison on defensive over border fence, she earned the nickname *Bailout*; Congress OKs historic bailout bill, she supports a back door amnesty plan, Immigrant ‘Dream’ Act Fails Key Senate Vote and when it came time to defund Barack Hussein Obama’s bunch of lawbreaking thugs, ACORN, Sen. Kay *Bailout* Hutchison bails out on defunding ACORN.

Somehow, I am thinking that Hutchison needs to look up the definition of the word conservative, or maybe have one of her staffers look it up and then have a legal aid explain it to her. It is MY opinion that Kay Bailey Hutchison has absolutely NO idea what the word conservative, or the term conservative politics stands for.

It is also MY opinion that Kay Bailey Hutchison needs to be retired, permanently! And it’s not just her, it’s her partner in crime, John Cornyn, as well;

Last month, Hutchison and fellow GOP Sen. John Cornyn endorsed two applicants for chief prosecutor in the Western District of Texas, which includes Austin, San Antonio and El Paso: Robert Pitman, a U.S. magistrate in Austin, and San Antonio criminal defense lawyer Michael McCrum.

A bit further down in the story from Dallas Morning News it does go on to mention that Robert Pitman is the openly homosexual U.S. magistrate Hutchison has recommended.

Kay Bailey Hutchison is NOT what Texas needs, and she is about to get a lesson in Texas politics. She has been a U.S. Senator since 1993, and once upon a time, she was thought to be the greatest thing to ever come out of the state of Texas. But along the way, she changed. Her politics became those of a RINO, not a Conservative. She proved herself to be a Washington insider and that just doesn’t sit well with Texans. We expect our Senators and Congressmen to go to Washington and represent US, not some Washington insiders agenda!

“Senator Hutchison made her recommendations based on the merits of each individual’s qualifications and their abilities,” said spokesman Jeff Sadosky, declining to discuss potential political fallout.

Sadosky said he wasn’t sure Hutchison knew about Pitman’s sexual orientation. Cornyn did but didn’t care, said spokesman Kevin McLaughlin. “A person’s sexuality has no bearing on his qualifications for a job. … It’s just not even remotely considered,” he said.

“A person’s sexuality has no bearing on his qualifications for a job. … It’s just not even remotely considered,” UNLESS, it’s a position in which that person is a representative of the good people of Texas. Then it matters greatly!

This kind of thing might be acceptable in California. I guess it would even be expected in San Francisco. Well, this isn’t California, it’s TEXAS! We hold our legislators to a higher standard, and I am glad to say it. We don’t support this BS of homosexual marriage, we don’t believe that any type of homosexual agenda represents Texas conservatism, in ANY way, and for Hutchison and Cornyn to come out in support of this is going to make many, if not ALL Conservative Texans look at Kay Bailey Hutchison in a new light.

I would say, at this point in time, the Governors race in Texas is Rick Perry’s right about now. His opponent is doing everything she can to hand it to him in a gift wrapped package!

Texas isn’t going to fall for the *big tent*, all inclusiveness of the GOP. Texas is not going to take pandering to ALL political and sexual orientations by our supposed conservative law makers.

Hutchison is working as hard as she can to send herself into permanent retirement, let’s just hope she can take John Cornyn with her.

Where does it magically happen that after a few years in Washington these people turn RINO??? Are they taken to dinner by the liberal thugs and forced to drink koolaid??? I can’t believe they have the nerve to try to “pose as Conservative”. Maybe we should all do a “Cavalcade of RINOs Week” and feature every one of em with a run down of why they have no business claiming to be Conservatives???? LOL!!!

NIce piece Fred… go get em!!!!

Vote Perry and be done with it!

I do believe that Ms Hutchinson is so arrogant that she believes we the people should not dare to question her actions or her motives, a prevailing attitude in Washington these days. However the sleeping giant has been awakened and it is “We The People”.

One of the main concerns of the conservative voters is activist judges and those in the legal system! So why on earth would a (self proclaimed b/c no one else would claim she is) conservative nominate a homosexual to a sensitive post that will potentially wield considerable power now that the expanded “hate crimes bill” has been signed into law, by way of the back door. Has she been blinded by her own rhetoric?

She is not a conservative, nor does she represent the views and values of the vast majority of the people of the great state of Texas and it’s time to teach her a lesson for claiming she does! Vote AGAINST Kay Bailey Hutchinson in 2010!!

Thank you Fred, great job! :)

It appears she is getting more and more out of touch with the Conservatives here in Texas. I look for her to switch Parties and run as a Democrat in her bid for Governor.

I may have to retract my nomination of Michael Steele ( Head of RNC ) in being Douchebag of the Week…..and now place KBH as this week’s choice.

I have never been too impressed with KBH. When she first graced Washington with her Rah Rah Rah, she was under the tutelage of Senator Phil, and I’m not sure but what he had to give permission for her to use the restroom. After he left to become a lobbyist, and Silver Hair John went instead, Texas has been without effective Senators.

Unfortunately, Perry is a two faced clown, so Texas will be without a Guvnor for another while.

Perry is a two-faced clown? That’s it? No explanation? No extrapolation? You’re slipping Shooterman, the forums are killing your cognitive reasoning…

HAM, there must be something in the D.C. water supply. Or there could be a more simple explanation these RINO’s just lied during their election campaigns and once they are elected the truth about them emerges. Whatever the case once they get to Washington they sing a different tune one that most voters back in their district don’t like. KBH is not my cup of tea and her voting record leaves much to be desired. Speaking of KBH she was just on FOX speaking about the shooting at Fort Hood. Off topic, but this is beginning to look like terrorism, but we will have to wait and see. A RINO Safari does seem in order.

It would make an interesting study to get the career voting records of several of the RINOs in Congress and see if there is a gradual ascension into RINOhood, or if it shows from the start. I am of the opinion that somewhere between 80-90% of politicians lie on an expert level. I think it would be fun to make “Congressional patches” and hand them out to legislators like “merit badges”… one for Lying, One for getting perks without getting caught, one for Pork Barrel Spending, One for not paying Taxes, and even a “Lying/Manipulator Badge”. There could even be one that is equal to an Eagle Scout patch but call it the “Uber Moonbat” patch!!!! Just give it to those who write the most worthless bills!!!!
