The job of a police officer has NEVER been a SAFE one. Every day they go to work and their families hope and pray that they will be coming home at the end of that daily tour of duty.
Once again, The Thin Blue Line has grown even more thin. The worst nightmare of an officers family has been realized by the friends and family of Officer Phillip Davis of the Pelham, Alabama Police Department.
There was a second person taken in for questioning during the Hoover arrest. Trussville Police Chief Don Sivley has confirmed that one of his officers is the brother of Bart Wayne Johnson and is being questioned by authorities.
There is conflicting information at this time, one story says the killers brother, one says both brothers were arrested, this one says the brother of the shooter is being questioned.
PELHAM, AL – The Birmingham News is reporting that a Trussville, Alabama, police officer was arrested for aiding his brother, who is suspected of fatally shooting a Pelham police officer during a late night traffic stop on I-65. The suspect and brother were arrested together by the Hoover Police Department. SOURCE
I’m not going to sit here and guess, my long time readers know, I deal in facts, not speculation. I will NOT condemn the killers brother until the facts are out. He may not have known what his brother had done, he may well be a victim in this himself. We’ll see as the story develops.
May God bless this Officer and protect his family in this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Phillip Davis, and with his friends and fellow officers.

My prayers are with the family of officer Davis. Traffic stops are more dangerous than most realize and those night time stop are particularly hazardous. I noticed what seems to be an increase in this type of incident these past few years. I know there are budget restraints, but it would help if these officers could have a parner with them. I would rather see a few speeders get away and avoid this, as much as I hate those who constantly speed on our highways disregarding others in their haste to gain only a few minutes. Lets hope the killer faces quick justice and not a long, long drawn out procedure that our judical system is famous for. The public should begin to demand quick justice for these killers.
Michelle Malkin wrote an excellent article this morning called The War On Cops
She continues,
What appears to be happening is an under-current of racial tension that has been simmering for years is beginning to boil over; seemingly emboldened by the (1/2) race of our current president. The question is will this turn into an all out ‘black on white’ crime fest…
You do know?? I don’t like Malkin and NEVER link to her, right?? If this wasn’t such a good link, I would be unhappy, but she really did a good job on this one… Good find Gawfer…
Yeah, I remember something about that, but like you, I thought this article was superb. She nailed something that the MSM is completely ignoring.
Won’t link her again… unless she hits another one out of the park,
It’s cool, even the asshat from Long Beach hits a good one one occasion… It’s OK Gawfer, you are one of those people that can get away with damn near anything on the blog, but dude, if you send me one more pic of you NEKKID…
Thanks again, Fred, for bringing these situations to the forefront of America’s consciousness.
The truth, as always, will Out.

My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of this officer. It defies logic that those who “serve and protect” we citizens, should be cut down by anyone before their time. They, like our brave troops, firemen and emergency service personnel risk their lives to help others everyday. This breaks my heart. May God bless and lend comfort to his widow and children.
God bless him and all that knew him. These things are never easy to accept.
“BOW Martyr” huh? After this, and what has been going on in Denver one might believe that obamanure might just succeed where Charles Manson failed.
