Ingredients:

1c of dark brown sugar
1c (2 sticks) butter
1c of granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2c of dried fruit, such as dried cranberries or raisins
1tsp salt
1tsp fresh lemon juice
1c coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
2c all-purpose flour
1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila (silver or gold, as desired)

Instructions:

Take a large bowl, sample the Cuervo to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer… beat one cup of butter in a large bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again.

At this point it’s best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK, try another cup, just in case.

Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the frigging fruit off floor…

Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the etrrs, just pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something.

Check the Jose Cuervo.

Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a schpoon of sugar, or somefink… whatever you can find.

Grease the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.

Don’t forget to beat off the turner.

Finally, throw the bowl through the window, FINISH the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.

Cheery Mishmas…. *hic*

Stopped by earlier today while leaving the house on the way to the store and noticed your famous recipe for Fred’s Famous Christmas Cookies. I will now call them infamous cookies. Didn’t have time to leave a comment , but did jot down the list of ingredients, was somewhat puzzled however by the Jose Cuervo, not having time to read the entire post. With list in hand I was off to the grocery store where I found all the items with the glaring exception of the Jose Cuervo, figuring it to be vital I decided to make a quick run to the next county some 15 miles to the north. I live in one of those dry Mississippi counties. Anyway after crossing the county line the liquor store loomed large with many cars parked outside, it being the holiday season. Finally I worked my way to the tequila section only to find that they were out of Jose Cuervo, but being the resourceful person I am I quickly found a fifth of “Monte Alban”, a great Mexican mezcal, the one in the lovely square bottle with the little bag of sea salt attached to the neck. Pleased with myself I left and returned home following your great directions. Needless to say Fred I now feel like crap and I hold you responsible. My bottle of Monte Alban is now almost empty and my head feels like its as big as a box car.

That was just my long way of telling you I feel like crap today with chills and a fever. Yours is the only site I’ve visited and I will go back to bed after this.

Now that sounds like a good recipe, I think that I will give it a “shot.”
