Every so often there comes along a special person that is willing to make a difference. Ted Nugent is just such a person. Wether you like his music or not, or if you agree with his politics it really does matter. He stands with, and supports the soldiers not only with his words, but also with his actions. Actions do speak louder than words. Soldiers don't make policy, they just carry out orders as their oath dictates. Respect and support is the least every American can give. Just saying it doesn't make it so. Thanks to all that put their words into actions. Top

Ted is the only good thing I can say about living in Michigan. A bunch of us tried to get him to run for Gov., but he wouldn't. We have hopes for the future, tho, as he hasn't ruled it out. He is a wonderful role model.

Oh...one other thing...I love Ted Nugent's music both as a solo artist as well as with Damn Yankees and way back with the Amboy Dukes. I enjoy many of his tunes but one that still rocks today is "Kiss My Ass." Funny and pertinent. Also, if you ever want to hear a moving tune about the great outdoors and the spiritual aspect of hunting, listen to "Fred Bear." And you can't beat "Great White Buffalo" (I love the opening riffs). And "Homebound" is FANTASTIC to play as a road tune in the car going down the interstate (plus I used that song often as bumper music when I was doing a talk show locally).

Also speaking of my local radio talk show way back in 1995, the opening guitar burst of "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" was my stinger whenever I went to break.

Man, I'm giving away valuable info to prospective radio hosts, ain't I? :-)

I was a huge fan of Ted Nugent's back when I was a kid and have remained a fan throughout the years. The more I hear from the man and about the man, the deeper my respect grows for him. If I had to make a list of people I would like to meet before I die, honestly Mr. Nugent would be high on my list. I doubt it will ever happen, but who know.

Wonderful story! I was a Nugent fan in high school and it carries on today - but not so much for his music (which is still cool), but for his support for our troops.
Thanks for sharing this!
