Ref:”It’s time for the true patriots, real American Conservatives and TEA Party Patriots, to take her back from the brink of collapse!”

Somehow your “true patriots” line above reminded me of the statement (some might call it a prayer) that I made for the logo on my very first blog. I wrote the line because I felt like a true patriot as I am still so I repeat it here:

“As it was in the beginning and now, as it should be, I will live, I will fight, I will die for God and country…in that order and no one shall stand in my way. Amen.”

I re-posted that original logo here Storm’n Norm’n if anyone has an interest. The reason I took it down (and I’ll remove it again) is the personal opinions I had incorporated within the logo.

ps: I’ll be in Washington, DC with all the other true patriots with Glen Beck on the 28th of August…hope to see many of you there.

I wonder HOW many will say, I’d like to go and help, but I have to get up and go to work tomorrow……..
    or,
I’ll be there with you in spirit but I’m workin the night shift this week and we’re short handed so I can’t get off.
    or,
that’s too far for me to make it and get back in time to watch
    the finalists on American Idol.
    or, blah, blah, blah,
    or, blah, blah. blah. etc.etc.etc.etc.
and these same people are the same ones that pull this “voter apathy” shit by NOT voting because they are supposedly pissed off with the lack of a candidate THEY want.

My words to them and all who don’t vote are, If you don’t cast a ballot, then you just voted for the asshole and the problem we’re having. Do your whining to somebody that gives a shit.

Great post, Fred. Stole it. I have it scheduled to post tomorrow.

Okay, I’m going to ask a stupid question: What’s the difference between the August 28th gathering and the 9/12 March?

I’ve made arrangements for somebody to come to my house to caregive my husband on 9/12. I’m not sure that I can get somebody to cover on August 28. But maybe.

Anyway, I need info about the differences between the two gatherings in D.C.

My email addy is at my web site, toward the top of my right sidebar.

  5. I know that I sound stupid with my question above.

But my blogging and news-watching time are so limited right now. For any here who don’t know, my husband is struggling with stroke recovery. He had the brain hemorrhage on September 12th. The therapy involves my constant participation — not to mention all the caregiving itself.

  6. AOW: I’d say your plate is sufficiently full. For those who have not yet done so, please visit AOW. She’s particularly engaged in the truth about Islam and its corrupting influences and presence in America and across the globe.

TF: and we’ll see just how RINO are some of those who may decide to “oppose” you. . .

My guess would be that you are already “persona non gratis” in some TEA Party circles.

  7. TexasFred says:

BZ — The most useless, gutless, behind your back TEA Party *past president* ever took on a campaign to have me removed recently…

He tried to fire up his former VP to call a vote and have me removed because I am “just not right for the TEA Party” because I am critical OF the TEA Party, ON MY BLOG, when they do stupid or gutless stuff.

Well, it blew up in his face… So, the now FORMER VP, well, she tried, but was the only one on the board that wanted me gone… Imagine that… So she quit…

Well, the *past president* wanted me gone too, but hey, he’s a *past president*, one that used the TEA Party to pad his political resume and got *called* on it by me and a few others…

So there Mikey, I know you’re still reading here, now you have something else to cry about…

  8. GM Roper says:

The Tea Party movement is probably the only thing that can save this country now.

    Howdy Fred!

  9. TexasFred says:

GM — You’re right, BUT, the only way they can is to GROW A SET and stop whining… Leadership, all over, is sorely lacking in the TEA Party…

A *grass roots* organization is a good thing, it’s a great place to start, but without strength, that which comes from numbers, organization and BOLD leadership, even the TEA Party won’t pull it off…

    And GM, WELCOME BACK!! :P

  10. And here’s the thing, Fred; I ask:

In terms of the GOP, do you hear them

    - Demanding the border fence be completed;
    - Demanding a stop to ALL further federal spending;
    - Demanding no riders
    - Demanding no earmarks
    - Demanding truth in spending
    - Demanding tort reform
    - Demanding the continuance of the Bush tax cuts and supporting tax cuts in general
    - Demanding all lawful domestic and offshore drilling for petroleum and gas
    - Demanding more electrical generation stations and refineries
    - Demanding removal of certain cabinet positions
    - Demanding an audit of the federal reserve
    - Demanding a balanced budget
    - Demanding that each and every bill be checked against the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to see if it is is lawful?

    And more?

I don’t see or hear those things. The GOP, to me, is primarily very quiet on these things.

What will ACTUALLY happen IF the GOP acquires control of the House and Senate?

What will ACTUALLY happen IF the GOP acquires control of the House and Senate?

    BZ

    Simply put? Dem Lite…

There’s NO difference between the DEMs and GOP any more, but some of us in The TEA Party are kicking asses, taking names, running the deadwood OFF and getting this thing fired up and viable, and looking BY GOD CONSERVATIVE…

    Or DIE trying!

The GOP is convinced that they can co-opt The TEA Party, that is BULLSHIT, at least from the TEA Party people I know and participate with… The damned GOP is as much a part of the problem as are the Dems, but, many TEA Parties suck up to the GOP like a baby on a nipple… The Free Cheese we like to talk about…

The above mentioned *past pres* is a tool of the GOP, I got an earful this weekend regarding him, FROM the state GOP, they love him… Well, THEY got an earful of TRUTH about him in return… I think they were shocked, to say the least…

Screw the Dems AND the GOP, I will do as I have always done, I will vote for a Candidate, NOT a damned party… I will vote what I believe to be right, not a PARTY TICKET!

  12. Another reason I do NOT send cash to the RNC or other Republican organizations.

I send my donation DIRECTLY to the candidates I like and support. NO MIDDLEMEN.

  13. Robert says:

Well I can answer that question.. YES I’m right for the tea party. The question is “Is the tea party right for me” Around here it seems like the tea party is just a group of upity prima donna’s that want to bitch about each other or who’s not doing what, when and how…Sickening.

Around here we pushed for Chuck DeVore to win the R primary to take on Boxer. He was too conservative. That is the problem. Chuck spoke the truth, he talked about the need to stop illegal immigration and was roundly criticized for it among the liberpuke media. IF the best we can do in Cali is Fiorina, we are FKD. Sarah Palin endorsed Fiorina over DeVore because she thought DeVore had no chance. After that election, the tea party around here just fell right into the Fiorina camp. I understand it though because she would be a vast improvement over Boxer.

There may be different school of thought on this Fred:

Some areas are too far gone to leap back all at once. It may take a gradual shift to right the ship. California surely fits that bill. IF that’s the only way to do it without bloodshed then it’s worth a shot.

I think we have accomplished a lot with the activism. We have made it perfectly clear that Dem lite is not the choice we want. And it remains to be seen if the current crop of R’s that are trying to be seated in DC will conduct themselves in a manner that we demand.

The other thing this movement needs to remember is NOVEMBER is not the end game, nor is 2012. Once the liberpukes are voted out of office, that’s when the movement needs to move it up a notch. IF not, then it becomes a Republican movement only and we will end up back in this nightmare again.

  14. Right Truth says:

“Liberals and gutless RINOs have ruined this nation! It’s time for the true patriots, real American Conservatives and TEA Party Patriots, to take her back from the brink of collapse!”

I completely agree. However a third party may simply split the right voters, giving the Democrats another win. We really do not want that. I think we can win without declaring a third party.

What we need to do, and have started to do, is elect true CONSERVATIVE candidates sponsored by the TEA party, within the Republican party and voting out the RINOs and the dead wood. We can take back the Republican party and make it what it is supposed to be.

People in this nation are ready for Revolution. Not a bloody revolution, but a political revolution.

    Great article Fred.

  15. Robert says:

Right Truth, A third party DOES split the vote unless we can get enough folks to see the reason the third party had to come into play. For instance:
A lot of us voted McCain. For whatever reason, even though we knew he was not the best one for our nation. HE WAS the best one in the race, including the Indy candidate or green or mickey mouse for that matter. The reason Obama won was not because he was the BEST in the race, he was the most likable, and the darkest. PERIOD!

Obama’s actions prior to his election, if he were WHITE would have kept him out of the WH. Fact.

IF McCain had won, our nation would be FAR BETTER OFF in the long run that in will be now. Not because of policies, but because we would have 2 more RIGHT leaning SCOTUS judges on the bench. AND that was worth every vote for him. Period.

Our job now is simple: We can not allow the GOP to ever again offer up such a weak field. We can never allow ourselves to have to settle for the lesser of two evils. But it’s a tightrope with a very deadly fall under it.

IF we decide one candidate is too weak and vote for the unknown, we may make a point but we will lose much. IF we vote for the RINO, there is a chance to pressure him/her out of the RINO camp. Which is a lot easier than Pressuring a Dem to become Conservative. It goes back to what I said earlier, some areas are going to need baby steps to get to the pillar.

  16. TexasFred says:

Folks — I don’t think I said anything about the TEA Party being a 3rd party… I said LEADING, as in leading Conservatives…

If that equates to a 3rd party, then so be it, but none of my readers are willing to support a 3rd party, or, I should say, very few of my readers…

They’ll gripe and moan about the GOP and the DEMS and then hold their noses and hit the Republican ticket just because… And THAT is why we have Obama, no one had the guts to stand and fight the status quo of the GOP and their weak-assed offering last time around…

I VOTED FOR PALIN… That was the roar of the crowd, and to that I say BULL SHIT! McCain was the nominee, there is NO guarantee that Palin would EVER be POTUS and McCain is, always has been, and will continue to be, a piece of shit RINO that will vote WITH the Dems as often as not…

WAKE THE HELL UP PEOPLE… We’re about to do the same old thing, accept what crumbs the GOP throws out there… Either the TEA Party straightens OUT the GOP and forces it into REAL Conservatism, and I don’t see that happening, or we move on to other matters…

We have a nation to save here, and voting in a RINO or a DEM isn’t going to get the job done…

  17. Robert says:

Fred, I think question “Are you right for the tea party” is one that leads folks to think. IF the R or the D is not right for you, what else is there? A 3rd party may be the only option. I look at it like Unions. A great threat but I really don’t want to work in one.

As far as voting for palin in 2008..Yep and looking back I’d do it again. Rehashing that ol who was right makes no sense because neither won.

I think in some regards the tea party HAS straightened out the GOP, I think it has made the party shift back to their core principles. And I think the warning shots of some of the primaries were enough for some, and the rest will never get it, so they need to be gone.

There is a lot of work to be done still and the last thing we need to is be squabbling over WHO is conservative enough. The race track is loaded and the drivers are set for November. It’s time to get behind those in your area that will fight for your values. My choice is limited…But I’ll make it.

This is the first major battle and if we split on the house and senate we’ll get at least 2 more years of progressive leadership. And the swing vote on the SCOTUS goes to the left…I agree WAKE THE HELL UP PEOPLE.

  18. TexasFred says:

    Rob — We shall see I suppose…

Rehashing the Palin/McCain thing is VERY important, those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it… We have to keep on pointing out that one fact!!

We have a young man here in Dallas County that’s running for a judgeship and he is advocating a straight GOP ticket, somehow, I don’t think he’s EVER heard the word NO until this past weekend…

  19. Robert says:

Well we can talk about that McCain/Palin thing but it wont do anything but hurt feelings. The fact is we missed a golden opportunity to set the SCOTUS for our kids. We will have one more chance I hope we don’t blow it.

As of right now, I’m not concerned with 2012, I’m focused on the task at hand and that’s November. We must stop the slide off the cliff and if that means I got to vote for Fiorina even though I wanted DeVore, that’s what I got to do. Why do I have to do it? Because enough of my neighbors decided that’s who will be on the ticket I didn’t vote for her in the primaries.

Which brings me to this point. The fight is in the primaries, after that we are stuck with whoever gets elected to represent us. At that point we need to decide the next action, either not vote in protest or vote for the one closest aligning with your views. I lost the fight in the primaries in my area, so what do I do?

  20. TexasFred says:

Rob — The only ones that will get hurt feelings are those that are looking to have their feelings hurt… McCain, or anything remotely close, is one mistake that America can NEVER make again, HE, and the stupidity of the GOP/RNC for running such a weak ticket, is exactly the reason why Obama is now POTUS…

My only point is, we can’t do that again… EVER… America will die if the GOP doesn’t remove their heads from their asses, walk away from the PC, BIG TENT bullshit, and come up for air…

We’re on the same page my friend, trust me, I know that you too are a RINO hater…

  21. Robert says:

Yeah my brother from another mother we are on the same page most of the time and even we aren’t we are at least on the same chapter.

I do have a question and its a serious one for all your readers:
In my case (Or for that matter Mass, Vt. or a few other states) What is our choice? Take Scott Brown for example. He was touted as the next Reagan by some (You and I saw him as more Snowe than Goldwater) but he won Kennedy’s seat. He’s done some cross aisle voting, but he stood against Kagan.

In Cali we got Fiorina on the ticket against Boxer, it’s a no-brainer for me, but I’m interested in the thoughts of your readers. What should we do?
    a) Vote for Fiorina
    b) Vote for Boxer (Uh NO)
    c) Vote 3rd party
    d) Not vote

That’s the same choice we will face in 2012, and it’s a choice California is facing now, not only with Fiorina, but with Meg Witman. (Jerry Brown is actually leading that race)

Let me help you out Fred… You guys are FKD… I KNOW I KNOW I’m crying in my coffee right now too…

    • Robert says:

This is how we felt in 2008

      shower vote
And if we don’t fight in the primaries for STRONG candidates, a lot of us will need this voting booth.
