WASHINGTON (AP) – Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Sunday defended the expenses incurred by his security detail as he was beginning an extramarital affair with current wife Judith Nathan, saying police made the decision after she received threats.
Giuliani in recent weeks has faced a barrage of questions about New York police security costs for his trysts with Nathan and about his business clients, which have included the Persian Gulf country of Qatar. Although a U.S. ally, Qatar is accused of sheltering suspected Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
Smiling broadly and laughing at some of the tougher questions put to him on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Giuliani did not directly answer when asked why the security expenses were billed to obscure city offices, making their detection more difficult. He responded that the NYPD had deemed the security detail necessary because of threats against him and his loved ones, including Nathan.
“This was all based on threat assessments by the New York city police department, all based on their analysis to protect her life, my life, other people’s lives,” Giuliani said. “They made the choice. My wife Judith would honestly prefer not to have security.”

Giuliani Defends Questionable Expenses
Giuliani comes with way too much baggage in my opinion, this little thing about police security while he was CHEATING on his wife, that’s a flag right there as far as I am concerned, the cheating on his wife is bad enough as it is but the police protection while doing it?? Kind of conjures up thoughts of Bill Clinton and his Secret Service protected trysts in the Oval Office…
At least Giuliani didn’t say, “I did not have sex with that young woman’, not yet anyway, I just wonder when we get the ‘I didn’t inhale’ line, that would be priceless…
Giuliani is a FAKE Republican, a RINO, Republican In Name Only, he’s a reformed supporter of abortion, maybe, if there really is such a thing, if he’s not just pandering, he IS a real live gun grabber, In his own words, and he is a supporter of homosexual marriage…
And then there’s the Bernie Kerik thing, Giuliani didn’t know that there were many things going on in Kerik’s office that were shady to say the least, ethics violations, illegal immigrants working in his home, and God only knows what else?? Yeah, right…
Giuliani: not conservative, not a true Republican and not qualified for the job, Giuliani is WRONG for America and America needs to send him that message in a loud and clear voice, Mr. Giuliani is a Dem/Libber in disguise, and he is making every attempt to pull the wool over your eyes…
Saying that Mr. Giuliani comes with a lot of baggage is likely one of the nicest thing I CAN say about the guy…

He is not what we the people need.
I watched this and I have never heard someone say they’ve made mistakes as many time as I heard this fool say in this interview.
If this guy got elected as Dog-Catcher it would be a BIG MISTAKE.
