Personally, I hope these young men get everything they want, to the point that Nifong, Durham and Duke are left broke, bankrupt and destitute, lives were ruined by the lies of a stripper and the corrupt prosecution of these young men by Nifong, and someone has to pay, I don’t normally support law suits but in this case I am convinced that this is not a frivolous endeavor…
WASHINGTON (AP) – Thick black smoke billowed from a fire Wednesday on the White House compound in the Executive Office Building. The blaze appeared to be located near the ceremonial office of Vice President Dick Cheney on the second floor of the building. The vice president was across the street in his office in the West Wing of the White House.

WASHINGTON – Congress by a wide margin approved the first increase in automobile fuel economy in 32 years Tuesday, and President Bush plans to quickly sign the legislation, accepting the mandates on the auto industry. The energy bill, boosting mileage by 40 percent to 35 miles per gallon, passed the House 314-100 and now goes to the White House, following the Senate’s approval last week.

(AP) A white separatist group planning a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade next month in Jena is suing the town, claiming officials are violating the Constitution by asking participants not to bring firearms, changing the parade route by one block and requiring the posting of a bond.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – A large earthquake rattled Alaska’s seismically active Aleutian Islands, but there were no immediate reports of any damages or injuries. The magnitude-7.2 quake struck at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and was centered about 125 miles west of Adak in the island chain, according to a preliminary report by the U.S. Geological Survey.
