Blue Bonnet Sue, it was all being done under the “radar”. The Air Force Sergeants Association got wind of it and alerted its members and other service connected associations. That’s the reason you never read or heard anything about this. Here’s some information on what was trying to be done.

Like I said. . . Only Two issues I can with heart Vote on. McCain is the only one for them. Anything above and beyond them, well . . .is horse-shit, at least for now.

Thanks BobF for giving an example of what the administration has been trying to do. I haven’t heard anything about it on the news and there hasn’t been anything in our local paper …unless it was buried and I missed it. I am 100% for ALL who have served in the military wherever and whenever. They deserve the best for as has been said, they’ve signed up to serve in whatever way they are called on to do. Bless ‘em all!

I’m glad there are still enough members of Congress who did the right thing in this instance.

Ranando, you’re correct in saying the Bush Administration has dumped on Veterans.

The Bush Administration has been trying to double the annual payment military retirees pay to have their free promised for life healthcare. He also tried to make us pay co-payments for prescriptions in military hospitals and clinics. The pisser of this is that the top military brass has gone along with it but fortunately Congress has squashed the plan. These are the men and women who made a lifetime commitment to this nation and even after retirement are subject to recall to active duty and many have been.

My good friend is the Director at Wadsworth here in Westwood California. He tells me it’s disgraceful what this Administration had done to our Vets.

I just attended a Funeral at The Riverside National Cemetery and I thought to my self, “How pround my friend would be to be among all these Great People here.”
