I’ll do the same thing I’d do no matter who I was supporting if they dropped out; I’d support the best chance to defeat the democrats in the general.

I am still supporting Fred. I saw him on a Fox Cable News show yesterday and liked what he had to say..primarily that he was running for president because he had been asked to do so and because he knew he was qualified for the job.

But he explained that it was not something that he had been planning on since he was in Jr high school..and that if he lost the election it would not destroy him.

Sometimes a reluctant leader is the best kind..he ain’t telling lies nor flip flopping to get votes..just telling us what he believes and the direction he wants to take the country.

That was my idea with Tancredo until he withdrew and endorsed Romney…

Still way too early to tell anything yet but I am pretty well convinced FDT won’t be in the race come November of ’08…

Didn’t realize you had to get ‘all-fired’ up to vote

Since he’s still the conservative in the race, I’m still going to vote for him. I don’t really care if he’s a good campaigner like the other guys, campaigning won’t help him run the country any.

I too would like Fred to be more on fire but, at least with him, we know that what we see is what we get. We all say we’re sick of politicians and, just maybe, Fred is too.

I don’t want a politician in the White House any more. I want a person with convictions who will make the tough decisions and lead this nation. They’re only two Republicans running who I believe will do that and they’re Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson…the others are politicians.

It’s really to bad, I wanted so much more from Thompson.

I remember when you and I were waiting for him to climb onboard, we were so excited.

You stayed with him longer than I did and I know by your posts how much you wanted him to be the man. He not only let you down, he’s let all supporters down.

I lost him when he started bringing onborad Bush’s advisers and he really lost me when he put Chaney’s daughter in charge. I wanted something new from Thompson and he failed to deliver, IMO.

He’s done and he knows it. Saying he’s not really interested is nothing more than an excuse for his failed campaign.

The good coming out of this is that we learned who he really is before we all made a grave mistake.
