Legislating from the bench is hallmark of liberal and progressive judges.

If the number of victims is so important, how are people in Connecticut still allowed to own cars, especially assault vehicles like the Humvee, designed originally for military use. Should they ban the civilian version? This is what happens when our lawmakers ignore The Constitution and the ambulance chasers are allowed to file frivolous lawsuits. There are between 30 and 40 thousand deaths a year as a result of automobile accidents. To me, there is no difference between using a gun to commit a crime or baseball bat, hammer, hatchet, golf club, ad infinitum. Let’s ban the automobile, after all, it’s for the children.

I have no problem with lawyers; two of my uncles were lawyers, and a first cousin has just retired from practice. However, they were all respectable officers of the court, unlike so many today.

I don’t know anything about this lawyer, but he apparently has no qualms about taking a case that plays on sympathies and the foolish ideas of the Left. More than the families of dead children and adults, I blame a legal system and those practitioners who take advantage of loopholes and widespread ignorance to find opportunities to enrich themselves.

It’s terrible what happened but millions have given their lives to ensure we have the right to keep and bear arms and that includes the AR-15. From what I understand, the mother kept the guns under lock and key but after he killed his mother, he got access to the keys. To go after Bushmaster is absurd but like you said, it’s ultra liberal Connecticut. This is a case that could possibly head to SCOTUS because of the ramifications if the manufacturers lost.

This lawsuit should never have been filed and it would not surprise me if it gets dismissed.

Comment on City worker faces fallout after claiming Ferguson police shooting was a ‘set up’ by the unit http://www.texasfred.net/archives/26153/comment-page-1#comment-47276 Sun, 15 Mar 2015 01:23:26 +0000 http://www.texasfred.net/?p=26153#comment-47276 I hope we will hear about it if the Village Idiot is fired. I doubt media will report it. I hope Fred has a source to know.
The village voted as to whether to remain incorporated as a city of Uplands Park in Nov. 2013. The village elected chairman was for keeping it as incorporated. He said…” The founding fathers wanted small government, not big government.”
The referendum vote maintained it as a city, 73 against, 70 for. Needed 60% against to dissolve status. I thought it was a interesting read about the village where the Village Idiot is Idiot of.
