Debra Medina and Ron Paul: The 9-11 Truther Connection

When there’s this much stuff on the ‘net connecting Debra Medina to Ron Paul, how has that been missed by SO many and how can anyone possibly expect Medina to be anything other than a 9-11 Truther and at the very least, a closet Paulinista? A not so secret supporter and follower of Ron Paul?

You can read all about the moonbats that are 9-11 Truthers here: 9/11 Truth movement.

The Texas Republican gubernatorial primary was supposed to be a really big battle between two very large and important Goliaths. But a little David showed up and is threatening to toss a bag of tea in both their faces.

Debra Medina, a nurse and entrepreneur, entered the GOP’s gubernatorial primary with little to no fanfare. The “tea party” activist and Ron Paul organizer was expected to register, well, not at all. The first poll seemed to confirm her status as an also-ran — registering a mere four per cent as against two-term Texas governor Rick Perry at 46 per cent, and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison at 35 per cent. SOURCE

And when Ron Paul himself writes a glowing endorsement of Debra Medina…well, just read it.

I would like to introduce you to a good friend of mine, Debra Medina. I have known Debra for over ten years and have always been impressed by her drive and commitment to principle. Debra has been a real defender of Liberty both in her home town of Wharton and across the state of Texas.

Debra has for years been a key supporter and member of my campaign team. As chairman of the Wharton County Republican Party, she has stood up to the big government establishment and fought to hold our party accountable to our platform and our conservative Texas values. Because of her leadership and organizational skills, I asked Debra to serve on the board of directors of my national grassroots action group, Campaign for Liberty, where she has played an important role in our fight to defend our Constitution.

In addition to her political accomplishments, I am proud of Debra for the person she is. Debra Medina is a loving wife, a home school mother of two talented honor students, and a successful business owner. Debra is a true success story and role model for Texans across our state.

I am proud to call Debra Medina a friend, and as a fellow Texan, I encourage you to get to know her. Debra is exploring a run for higher office and would appreciate your input on her effort. SOURCE

That, my friends, is from Dr. Moonbat himself. Ron Paul is a 9-11 Truther. He, and apparently, many of his supporters, believe that the U.S. government attacked this nation on 9-11, and brought down the World Trade Center Towers and took a huge chunk out of the Pentagon.

I have heard it said from some of the 9-11 Truthers that American Airlines Flight 93 was brought down by U.S. jet fighters as well. To my simple way of thinking, all those accusations do is denigrate the efforts of the HEROES of 9-11 and cheapen their memory!

Then we have this descriptive of Ms. Medina:

While on the road in Austin, Texas last Friday, January 22, 2010, Wayne Slater, a reporter for the Dallas Morning News, a Belo corporation company, spoke on KLBJ radio. During his interview, discussing the upcoming Texas gubernatorial debate, he described Debra Medina as a “Ron Paul libertarian.” Glad I’m not alone in my assessment of Mrs. Medina and her crypto-libertarian supporters.

I’d really like someone to discuss Mrs. Medina’s lawsuit AGAINST the Republican Party of Texas! SOURCE

The following is what may very well turn out to be a prognostication that came out terribly wrong, and far too soon.

Debra Medina is a 9-11 Truther

February 11th, 2010 . by TexasFred

Debra Medina is a 9-11 Truther

This is not just MY opinion, Medina was on the Glenn Beck radio program this morning and she committed political suicide in MY opinion. As Glenn said, “The fastest way back to 4%“. If you don’t know, 4% is where Medina was polling before her modest showing in the Texas GOP Debates. She quite likely will see that 4% again soon.

And it’s NOT just me that feels this way about Medina. Do you want to hear what a few other Texas Conservatives think about her?

First there’s this from Houston blogger TexasSparkle:

I just heard Debra Medina on the Glenn Beck radio show, and she really messed up badly. Glenn Beck said that people had accused her of being a 9-11 truther. Beck asked her straight up if she thought the government was in any way involved in 9-11 and the towers coming down.

She would not deny it. I expected her to say, “absolutely not. It’s absurd.” But she didn’t. She said that she didn’t have enough information and that there was a lot of things we don’t know.

Oh my. This is bad. I did have a great deal of respect for her. But she just lost me. SOURCE

Here is the take on Medina from another fine Texas Conservative.

At the beginning of the Medina for Governor movement, I was honestly looking at her and her ideas because people were talking about how real conservative she was. At first, it was just an interesting read…but as I looked behind the curtain, it was less interesting and much more scary.

In 2006, Hillary Clinton was a lock to be the Democratic Nominee and so no one took Barack Obama seriously – which means he was never vetted by the media. In fact, when you watch the movie Media Malpractice – you see a member of the main stream media admitting to this. We now have a very similar situation with Debra Medina – and her associations are just as dark as Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers were with Obama.

Early on in the Medina Movement, the followers would bring up the topic “Rick Perry is part of the Bilderberg Group and is working for a new world order topic with Perry supporters in hopes of getting them to switch. Now this obviously would open up anyones eyes and require them to do some research…because this is certainly not part of the mainstream. One of the leaders in this “Bilderberg conspiracy theories is Alex Jones. Calling Jones a “radio host by the followers is a stretch when you consider he has virtually no audience. His real audience, though, are those who believe in his nutty conspiracy theories – a main one being that 9/11 was an inside job of both George W. Bush and the Government. SOURCE

GOP candidates’ sniping fuels debate in governor race

GOP candidates’ sniping fuels debate in governor race

DENTON — Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison clashed repeatedly in the first Republican gubernatorial debate, speaking over one another and all but calling the other a liar.

Activist Debra Medina pushed for a place apart, describing Perry and Hutchison as politicians who embrace big-government solutions to Texas’ problems. After one overlapping exchange of sniping between Hutchison and Perry, Medina expressed frustration.

“This squabbling isn’t getting us anywhere, Medina said.

The debate was a key exchange between the candidates leading into the March 2 primary. Only one other debate currently is scheduled for the Republicans. There is no Democratic debate scheduled between the front runners, former Houston Mayor Bill White and millionaire businessman Farouk Shami.

Perry, as the incumbent, was the one to beat going into the debate. And while he repeatedly showed he was willing to take the contest to Hutchison and Medina, they would not back down.

Now Debra Medina has MY attention!! Very PRO guns, Texas sovereignty and strong borders, that is a lot more than can be said about Kay Bailey Hutchison. KBH never met a bailout or an amnesty plan that she didn’t like.

Perry and KBH both ignored the idea of sovereignty and the 10th amendment. Debra Medina did NOT, and so far, that is her saving grace.

Perry has his faults, but I am notorious for NOT voting for the *lesser* of the evils and have, on occasion, voted for a 3rd party candidate. Medina isn’t a 3rd party candidate but she doesn’t have the money or PARTY support behind her, at least, not yet.

In my own personal opinion, KBH is as close to being a Washington insider and is as evil as it gets. I honestly don’t think Perry is evil. I do think he has a few ideas that aren’t in the best interest of Texas.

Imminent domain and toll roads are very high on Perry’s list of priorities. That may be a real problem for him. Toll roads are a real *stone in the shoe* of many here in Texas.

Perry kept insisting that Texas had created, and not LOST jobs, I have to say, noble thought Governor, and yes, Texas is a place where a lot of people are turning to make a new life for themselves, but we have lost jobs.

Perry was touting the way property taxes have gone down under his administration. That is something I just haven’t seen.

Kay Bailey Hutchison said basically NOTHING worth writing about. That sums up what I feel about her becoming our next Governor!
