Read the post, here and on the original site, make up your own mind, but as for me, when I am called names and personally referenced as manipulative and incestuous, I tend to take exception to those actions, if you are a REAL Conservative, I hope you do too…
I am known as a cynical, conservative “hating” witch with a “B”. It is true, I no longer trust anything with a “conservative brand”. I am am angry with these people for having infiltrated and destroyed much of my beloved GOP.
We have been treated to all the doom and gloom in the world. The Republican party is dead. The electorate is furious. Voters are mad as you know what. Republicans have lost their way. Conservatives have had it. George Bush has destroyed the GOP. The GOP has destroyed itself. Conservatives have destroyed the GOP.
So, right now we’re up to probably close to a million individuals who are conservative but are not Republican. These people are loud. They are obnoxious, and they know how to use modern technology to accomplish their goals, primarily being to rid the US of Hispanics and illegal immigrants.
I don’t know where you get your figures, but I think there are quite a few more Conservatives out there than your delusional mind imagines, and I see you have mentioned the desire of the Conservative of the USA to stop ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, do I detect a veiled reference to that being some sort of a bad thing??
These are the “conservative” movers and shakers. They are the ones who tell conservatives how to vote, who to hate, and where to send their money. World Net Daily is the very worst offender of the bunch. The “publication” is little more than a prevaricating grocery store check-out tabloid. The problem is people believe it. The next biggest offender is NewsMax Tom Tancredo Lou Dobbs Federation for American Immigration Reform FAIR - the power behind much of the “conservative” movement today.
Have you seen what I see? There are ever so many organizations and so very few people. Yep, this whole tawdry affair is being manipulated by an incestuous hand-full of people.
Incestuous?? You hurl that kind of nasty insult, knowing fully well what it implies, and still expect anyone to support you?? I am seriously thinking that YOU have lost your mind…
Perhaps the best thing that could happen to the GOP is to jettison the whole “conservative” word an go back to the word “Republican”. It is time we end the manipulation of conservatives who are doing little more than advancing their own personal agendas and their own personal quest for power and for money. Their reign of terror needs to come to an end before they doom the GOP into a minority status - forever. You can always tell who you are dealing with because of a few traits: 1. Hatred of George W. Bush 2. Hard line immigration reform 3. An adoption of a few conspiracy theories 4. An an over-use of the word “American” “Freedom” - this sort of thing
Start reading the fine print. You will find all of these people are somehow connected - and that’s where it gets ugly. They allow people like Michelle Malkin, Peter Brimelow, VDare to exist because they are doing all the dirty work. It’s sad really. John McCain is their next target.

Myself, I am truly confused by those who tack an “R” or “D” behind their name. Definitions of a conservative, Republican, freedom fighter and the like are getting fuzzy, blurred and faded as true Republican leadership has not stepped forward.
Who is our republican leader?
Where is our standards and beliefs in print?
What do we stand for now, today in 2008?
If you hate the Democrats, you must be a republican?
If you hate the GOP, you must be a Dem?
I am in favor of a third party system. Will it ever happen? No! But it would make things very interesting.

Well, Fred….I’m not sure what to say, what with free speech and all, BUT, I left the Dem Party awhile back for the Rep. Party, then decided I’m more independent than anything. I am ultra conservative,and do think and speak for myself alone. That said, I was very offended by her post. I fully support Lou Dobbs and his efforts, and believe with all my heart Tancredo should have been the nominee. I also like M. Malkin 75% of the time. When I read what was written there, I thought maybe her blog had been hacked by an uber liberal with an agenda.
I really resent the implication that those of us anti-illegals are also anti-Hispanic.
No one has influenced me in my political thinking…I just adhere to what my Grandma taught me….finish school, get a job, don’t hurt no one…worship God, supprt our Military, don’t break any laws ( jay-walking ,too..lol ) and be good.
No idea where her bitterness towards conservatives comes from, and really don’t much care…but to be put in that manipulative/incestous category hurts my feelings. A lot.

Excellent fisking there Fred. Couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s because of Republicans like her that we conservatives have turned our back on them as well and the reason we are mad as hell. It’s also the reason why true conservatives out there will not be voting for McCain come November. Thanks for exposing her for who and what she really is.

“Conservatives destroyed the Republican Party”?? That’s the craziest thing I’ve heard today.
McCain reminds me of another good Republican, Barry Goldwater. To many conservatives today, Senator Goldwater wouldn’t be conservative enough for them. But he was the pinnacle of conservativeism. I mold myself after Senator Goldwater and ask myself what would he do.

This isn’t about McCain being a good Republican or not, it’s about the scurrilous accusations thrown out by a duplicitous moonbat that has used people to HER advantage, are you OK with that??
Why do these interlopers think they own the GOP? Look back over the history of the GOP and you find us, the conservative. We are what has made the party and yes she may be right in thinking that we may be the ones to tear it down. If hijacking the GOP with liberal democrat thinking some how gives her ownership, then fine, she can have it.
Either the party returns to us the conservative or it dies a horrible death of insanity and delusion.
Damn few ‘true Conservatives’ left in either major political party. The Dem’s left me many years ago and I started voting Repub. Now the Repub’s are ‘Dem Lite’ and frightened of their shadows. Only people who are truly incompetent could have taken the majority the Repub’s enjoyed in 2004 and thrown it all away. I can’t stand McCain and the Dem field is like a ‘B grade’ horror movie, with poor special effects and the dialogue read from ‘cue cards’. Looks like I’m not voting for POTUS in 2008, because I refuse to ever again vote for the lesser of two evils!

I think her definition of conservative leaves a lot to be desired..if she means fiscal conservatives she is wrong. If she means the far Christian right wing who are conservative only in their ideas of religion and have used the party to further their ideas of forced morality she is partially right. But then what is a true conservative?
I don’t particularly like the label conservative…it implies that one resists change and one who resists change will always find oneself behind the curve as others change. In fact our constitution was written to allow for change..re: the 27 amendments that have been approved by the people over the years.
In fact at one time I considered myself a liberal..and still do in the classical sense of liberalism..but not in the sense that liberalism is used in the USA today..I am not a socialist and in fact detest the very tenents of socialism which excuses man from having to accept personal responsibility for his actions.
But all said I reckon I am conservative in one respect..I want to conserve the constitution as written..not as rewritten by fiat of judges. And I reckon I am a fiscal conservative..because I detest the idea of forced income redistribution which is in fact socialism.
Mostly I just want to be left alone to live my life the way I want to live it..without government dictating to me and stealing what I have earned via taxation to redistribute it to those who have not earned it.
I reckon that makes me a libertarian..and that is not all that bad of a thing to be.
But I do agree with one thing she wrote..the GOP that I used to support is toast…but I don’t think it was the conservatives that destroyed it…it was those who put on the mask and claimed to be conservatives and then spent the taxpayers money like a drunk dim-a-crit. Oh, hell, McCain will probably win the White House because of the independent voters and democrats who know better than to support Obama..but the GOP I used to support is not there any more..and the RINOs have lost my support.

This fool doesn’t think that ridding the country of illegal aliens is a good thing? But then, neither does Bush, McCain, or the Democrats.

Fred you know how many times I have defended GWB. You know how often I accuse you of eating our own. Even I, am disgusted with the republican candidate. Even I, am disgusted with our Mexico foreign and border policies.

The Pink Flamingo apparently epitomizes what is wrong with the Republican Party (hint: not conservative.) She seems to share the all too common opinion that the two major parties should simply be varying stages of liberalism.
Her lack of understanding is clearly demonstrated in her ridiculous descriptions of conservatives. Common sense would tell a thinking person that being anti-ILLEGAL cannot be automatically equated as anti-hispanic. Any understanding of the word conservative would preclude her warped description. Seeking personal power and money? How about keeping the money the earn? How about insistence that supposed Republicans oppose big government and wasteful spending. How about an insistence that our sovereignty is respected and enforced? How about an insistence that government butt the HELL out of all places except for the few enumerated places it belongs?
Has anyone had other difficulties with PF, for example when it comes to trackbacks??? She’s very inconsistent there too. Sometimes her trackbacks are valid other times not. What’s up with that?
