Republican Party ad takes softer approach on Obama

WASHINGTON (AP) - In a campaign fast growing nasty, the Republican National Committee is trying a gentler approach.

An ad running in seven battleground states says President Barack Obama tried to fix the economy and that “it’s OK to make a change.”

While that type of soothing pitch may have a place in advertisements for toothpaste or coffee, it’s less common in presidential campaigns.

Political ads typically attack, demand, ridicule and-or taunt.

For quite a long time now I have referred to the Republican party, in a HIGHLY critical manner, as being nothing more than *Democrat Lite*.

I was wrong, and I owe the Democratic Party and apology for that comparison.

The Dems may be a bunch of lying, tree hugging, save the whales, abortion loving, anti-gun MORONS, but by golly, at least they have the will to FIGHT for what they believe in.

So, to all you Dems, Libbers, Obama supporters and your associated moonbats, I want to apologize for calling the GOP ‘Dem Lite’.

I was wrong in making that statement about Dem Lite, and I am sorry!

I suppose it’s time to find a new term to define LOW when I refer to the GOP/RNC and their overall lack of intestinal fortitude.

OK, right about here is where I truly hurt the feelings of the GOP leadership that DOES read here; how dare you people allow the RNC to pull this crap? For the love of God and this once great nation, don’t ANY of you have the GUTS to stand up to the RNC and Reince Priebus and tell them to *GROW A PAIR*?

I am beyond giving a DAMN who gets their feelings hurt or is angered by my political commentary. This nation is in one hell of a fix and the GOP/RNC wants to *make nice* and use a ‘softer approach’ on Obama?

HAVE THEY LOST THEIR MINDS?

These are the same type of people that impose Rules of Engagement on our combat troops, ROEs that get OUR guys KILLED while making sure we don’t offend our enemies in the field. These are the people that want to run this nation like it’s a pre-K school yard as they tell us all to ‘put the stick down and play nice!”

These are the people that get an attitude when asked “What are YOU willing to do about the RINOs in this party?” Well, if the truth hurts, this is going to be painful!

These are the same people that will ‘take a softer approach’ when it comes to the defense of this nation!

I have NEVER been a registered Republican, I am an Independent, but I almost always vote FOR the Republican candidate, almost always. It’s examples of gross incompetence such as this that disgusts me with the GOP/RNC and its leadership, and I am NOT alone in that disgust.

I was raised in the SOUTH, yeah, THAT South, and we were Democrats, right up until the time the Democratic Party took a hard left turn and opened the door for Ronald Reagan and Regan Conservatism. But even then I wasn’t a registered Republican, I wasn’t a registered Democrat either. I have always had a highly Independent streak in me and I just couldn’t give myself over to the blind allegiance that BOTH parties seemed to demand, then AND now!

Bone-headed moves such as that described in the above story fully illustrates WHY I wouldn’t align myself totally with either party, and to this very day, still will not do so.

Strike while the iron is hot, hit em hard, fast and often, never take a knife to a gunfight, there are many ways to put it, but ‘taking a softer or kinder approach’ is not going to get the job done. We’re dealing with a political machine that plays by Chicago rules, and they can’t spell the words gentle or kind.

Chicago rules means you fight hard, with everything you have, you fight to win and you fight until the fight is over and there’s only one man left standing. THAT is what the fine folks at the GOP/RNC are up against, and the dumb bastards don’t have a clue.

To paraphrase: “You wanna know how to get Obama? They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital; you send one of his to the morgue. *That’s* the *Chicago* way! And that’s how you get Obama.”

A brilliant line delivered by Sean Connery in the film The Untouchables, a depiction of what it was like to go to WAR against the Chicago machine back in the days of Capone.

So far, nothing has changed from then until now. You fight and win or you *play nice* and lose.

If the TRUTH hurts, well, that’s a good thing, some of you in the GOP/RNC and in positions of leadership within the party NEED to have your feelings hurt as you get SLAPPED with a healthy dose of reality!
