Malaysian leader: Plane’s disappearance deliberate
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) - The Malaysian jetliner missing for more than a week was deliberately diverted and continued flying for more than six hours after severing contact with the ground, meaning it could have gone as far northwest as Kazakhstan or into the Indian Ocean’s southern reaches, Malaysia’s leader said Saturday.
Prime Minister Najib Razak’s statement confirmed days of mounting speculation that the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 to Beijing was not accidental. It also refocused the investigation into the flight’s 12-person crew and 227 passengers, and underlined the complicated task for searchers who already have been scouring vast areas of ocean. SOURCE
Opinions abound, conspiracy theories run rampant and with all the modern technology that is available to man in this modern day and age; no one knows what happened, but they sure are making a lot of noise.
Indian search finds no trace of Malaysian plane
NEW DELHI (AP) - Indian navy ships supported by long-range surveillance planes and helicopters scoured Andaman Sea islands for a third day on Saturday without any success in finding evidence of the missing Malaysia Airlines jet, officials said.
Nearly a dozen ships, patrol vessels, surveillance aircraft and helicopters have been deployed, but “we have got nothing so far,” said V.S.R. Murthy, an Indian coast guard official. SOURCE
This might be the most accurate response I have seen in the media: “we have got nothing so far,”
I’m having a real issue with the *terrorist* and *sabotage* thing actually. Terrorists would gain nothing, they would further no *message* or support any *cause* by making the plane just disappear. Terrorists do things like this to make a STATEMENT.
If it was a mass kidnapping and hostage for ransom situation I believe we’d have already heard some kind of demands.
This is, I believe, something much different and something where the REAL outcome will be incredibly inane once released, IF there IS a release.
Do I have a theory? Well yes, I do; I’m going with *Alien abduction*…

In all honesty how in the hell do you hide a 777 and 200 plus passengers? I belueve you don’t, unless you take it to a country that just hates the USA, say
IRAN. I am sure they would not mind hiding the plane..still hard to evade all of the radar and intell sources there….it all boilds down to …I have no idea what might of happened…..

I tried both yesterday and just now to log in under my username and it won’t let me. I went to get another password and it says there is no user under my email address. You and I know that’s crap. I tried it on BZ’s blog which uses the same system and I had no problem logging in.
I agree with you on both counts (terrorism, sabotage). Now they say it could have flown for over 7 hours. Unbelievable. As far as Kazakhstan?? And an erratic flight path up to 45000 feet then down to 25000.
Maybe someone was trying to program the autopilot. Maybe it was being hijacked by the pilot but there was an outbreak of some deadly, incredibly virulent food poisoning on board and the pilot died and a heroic passenger was trying to fly the plane, put it finally on autopilot, then also died and so the plane flew till it ran out of fuel and finally fell into the Indian Ocean.
Or it could be aliens…
Spoke with a pilot today about this who knows quite a bit about this type of aircraft. He’s a retired Colonel who flew B-52’s and the B-2. He thinks it was possibly an inside job with one of the pilots involved; happened on an Egyptian aircraft a number of years back. Someone knew way too much about the aircraft systems to do what they did disabling certain functions. Flying to certain altitudes, they could use the pressurization/oxygen system to incapacitate the passengers and aircrew and prevent anyone from using cell phones. He said his “military mind” sees a bad use for this aircraft.
In all sincerity, I see this being VERY ugly in its outcome… But with the media having an orgasmic feeding frenzy I just had to make fun of it..

Seriously, though, Fred: wouldn’t it be great if the mainstream media were to spend 1/10 the time covering the missing guns in Fast and Furious, the missing approvals in the IRS scandal, or the missing military backup in Benghazi as they’ve spent covering a missing airplane that doesn’t even belong to us (or the missing 18 1/2 minutes from Nixon’s WH tapes)?

Good post Fred. My theory on this is that the hijackers flew the plane to an altitude so high, the oxygen masks were deployed, and the plane flew on until the on board oxygen was gone, thereby causing the eventual deaths of all on board. No hostage situation, just the theft of an aircraft to be used in a plot at some later date. Remember, these jihadists are patient when it comes to planning. The religion of peace is growing stronger and more bold all around the world. They now have two publications written in english that promote violent attacks on cities around the world. The media has another good excuse to take the publics’ attention off more pressing issues.
