Hillary Clinton to announce presidential campaign on Sunday
WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton will end months of speculation about her political future and launch her long-awaited 2016 presidential campaign on Sunday, according to people familiar with her plans.
The first official word that Clinton will seek the Democratic Party’s nomination will come via an online video posted on social media. She’ll then make stops in key early voting states, including Iowa and New Hampshire, where she’ll hold small events with voters.
One Democrat familiar with campaign rollout said Clinton’s stops would include visits to people’s homes in those early states.
The people familiar with Clinton’s plans spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss them publicly.
The former secretary of state will be making her second bid for president and will enter the race in a strong position to succeed her rival from the 2008 Democratic primary, President Barack Obama. Clinton appears unlikely to face a stiff primary opponent, though a handful of lower-profile Democrats have said they are considering their own campaigns. SOURCE
I say this with NO reservations; if Hillary Clinton were to be elected to fill the office of President this nation would be entering the final spiral into the abyss of HELL!
Some will vote for her strictly because she’s a Democrat
Some will vote for her strictly because she’s a woman
Some will vote for her strictly because she’s pro abortion
But I cannot imagine ANYBODY voting for her because they think she’s best qualified for the job.
Keep your powder dry
Well Tex, with all the phony poll numbers being thrown about, and the fact that bo was elected for a second term should give WE THE PEOPLE a preview of what 2016 will look like. Diebold voting machines (Soros) that are counted by a Spanish outfit. What could possibly go wrong?
Some WILL claim she is the most qualified… They’re out of their minds, but they WILL do it…
Your’e 100% correct Fred. I pray that the Bengazi committee finds evidence that ties her in with her outright refusal to authorize any rescue efforts. The whole administration, I believe has had a hand in that debacle. I truly believe that there is a subplot to that whole incident and thier original plan went to shit.
Good.
Freakin’.
Lord.
Hell, to the NO.
I can only hope she breaks down emotionally during the campaigning. She is old, looks old and is short tempered. Her anger temper can be triggered. If she does get elected I will thank God I have no children or family to leave behind to witness the final death of America.
She will shoot us all in the back, video directed to her personal server. I’m taking off this weekend and watch golf shots at the Masters. Join the couch potatoes I guess. I’ve watched it many years. First and last time I saw Arnie and Jack in person was the Memphis open in ’65. They opened this years Masters. I need the way it was for a weekend.
P.S. I rooted for Arnie, but Jack won and pocketed the $9000 first prize.
This woman had official and possibly classified government correspondence on her private server and nothing was done about it. Now she claims to have erased it, after it was supposed, and still nothing done about it. It that was just about any other American, heavily armed Federal Agents would have kicked out doors in and taken the server as soon as it was known we had it. That alone is a violation of federal law and should subject her to a Felony but it isn’t happening. They used to call John Gotti the Teflon Don but Hillary is the Teflon Politician in the likeness of Gotti.
The idea that I should vote for her because she is a woman is insulting and laughable.
The idea that we could have more years of Clinton in the public arena is nauseating.
She has displayed zero character, integrity, honesty or ability to accept responsibility.
She has shown us that she plays by her own set of rules and those applicable to the ‘common man’ do not apply to her.
I have read her campaign may raise 1.7 BILLION dollars. This is obscene.
We have one Emperor president now. We do not need an Empress.
Abigail, I don’t think WE THE PEOPLE can overcome the fraud that will be involved in the ’16 election. The voting machine will decide who rules us. Money talks and the progs seem to have a magic piggy bank (sorry muslims). Unless she is hounded out of the primaries, we may see the hildebeast win out. By the way, are you a Piney or a Benny?
Hillary has a lot of skeletons in her closet if only the media would open the doors and let them see the light of day. If she is their candidate seems to me these would be vulnerabilities worth exploiting IF her opponents are willing and hungry enough to fight for what they want.
Now I see she will be campaigning on economic security for the middle class being portrayed as a ‘tenacious fighter’ able to get results and as someone able to work with Congress and world and business leaders. (Ah yes, I remember her big success with that ‘reset’ button she gave the russians which actually said (in Russian) ‘overcharged’…)
Well, it is gratifying to see how the poor little darling who left the White House ‘dead broke’ and who ‘needed money for houses (plural)’ has clawed her way up that economic ladder of success. And all without holding a real job. Guess she knew what she was talking about when she said : Don’t let anybody, don’t let anybody tell you that, ah, you know, it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs.
I wish I could see her grand announcement but I’ll be cutting my toenails at that time.
Darn.
Wayne, although I think I know what a Piney is (from the jersey pine barrens??) I have no idea what a Benny is.
I agree Fred that if she gains the White House it’s over. The American people have one more chance to correct the damage that has been done over the past decades. We have allowed gradual encroachment of Communism/Islam into our governing body and if we do not root it out now we will never recover. We can no longer be trusting, intattentive and complacent. What we face is what our founding fathers feared.
As Benjamin Franklin was leaving Independence Hall at the close of the constitutional convention, a woman approached him. “Well, Doctor, what have we got?” she asked. “A republic, or a monarchy?” “A republic,” Franklin replied. “If you can keep it.”
We must keep it.
