Obama: Americans must ‘come together’ on gun crimes

ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) — The public must “come together” to figure out how to keep deadly mass shootings from happening, President Barack Obama said Friday. But he emerged from a private meeting with family of the victims of last week’s shooting in Oregon to declare: “Today is about the families.”

Addressing reporters briefly after the approximately hourlong meeting, Obama said occasions like these always remind him that any child or parent or family member could suffer such a loss.

Immediately after a gunman killed eight students and a teacher at a community college last week, a visibly angry Obama said thoughts and prayers are no longer enough in the aftermath and that the nation’s gun laws needed to be changed. He pledged to “politicize” the issue.

But that message didn’t sit well in Roseburg, where gun ownership is popular. Hundreds of supporters and protesters gathered near the local airport for Obama’s arrival, with signs welcoming him mixed with others advocating for gun rights. SOURCE

Barack Hussein Obama, like every Democrat and Republican, is looking for a way to *leave his mark* on America and with Obama his latest effort is aimed at guns and gun owners.

Sadly, there are far too many *nut jobs* in the United States that are all too willing to give Obama all the ammunition HE needs to wage war against the mostly peaceful, responsible and SANE gun owners of America.

Just today: 1 dead, 3 wounded in shooting at Northern Arizona University and 1 fatally shot at Texas Southern University housing complex.

The people that really KNOW me know that I am not a conspiracy theorist and I don’t see a Commie in every shadow or behind every door, but the more of these shootings that happen the more I am inclined to believe that there is some sort of covert effort at work to influence a few weak-minded individuals to take up the gun and strike out at others in a public setting. 

While scanning through stories looking for citation to MY beliefs regarding guns, their ownership and their usage I found this: No other nation in the world comes even close to the estimated 300 million firearms owed by civilians in the U.S.

Think of it like this if you will; if there are 300,000,000 guns in America, owned by some 80,000,000 citizens and 2 of those guns were used in school shootings today, yes, that is two too many BUT in the meantime, 99.99999999% of ALL guns in the hands of LEGAL and responsible gun owners did NOTHING wrong today.

So, is Obama grinding an axe or pushing his own personal agenda when he says, “The public must “come together” to figure out how to keep deadly mass shootings from happening”?

If 299,999,998 guns in America were not used in the commission of a crime doesn’t it stand to reason that GUN OWNERS HAVE *come together* and have figured it out?

It is every Liberals DREAM to take ALL the guns away from ALL Americans and melt them down, or grind them up, or dump them in the ocean or some other such incredibly stupid resolution and in their minds THAT is how you stop a single individual from staging as *lone wolf* attack that kills many innocent victims.

It is NOT going to work! These people that want to gather up and destroy some 300,000,000 odd guns are the same people that say it is impossible to find, round up and deport some 20,000,000 ILLEGALS in this nation.
