Wayne LaPierre, CEO and Executive Vice President of the NRA covers this Obama BS quite well and everyone expects the NRA to call Obama out on his lies, abuses and all around BS.
So, what does it say about Obama and his agenda when the AP calls his out?
Obama measures wouldn’t have kept guns from mass shooters
The gun control measures a tearful President Barack Obama announced Tuesday would not have prevented the slaughters of 20 first-graders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, or 14 county workers at a holiday party in San Bernardino, California.
Obama’s executive action expands mandatory background checks to gun shows, flea markets and online sales, adds more than 230 examiners and staff to help process them and calls on states to submit accurate and updated criminal history data.
Those measures are seen as crucial to stemming gun suicides - the cause of two-thirds of gun deaths - by blocking immediate access to weapons. But, an Associated Press review shows, they would have had no impact in keeping weapons from the hands of suspects in several of the deadliest recent mass shootings that have spurred calls for tighter gun control. Either Obama is the most stupid person to ever infest the Oval Office or he has the most incompetent advisers in the history of the United States.
I have NO problem with a licensed gun dealer doing a background check on me if I am buying a gun, I have NO problem with them doing the same when YOU buy a gun, just like I have NO problem with a Voter ID, I want to know that an individual has the proper background, a LEGAL background that doesn’t forbid them from owning a gun and I want to rest assured in the fact that everyone voting in our elections is legal to do so as well.
The shooters at Sandy Hook and San Bernardino used weapons bought by others, shielding them from background checks. In other cases, the shooters legally bought guns.
So, guns that were illegally obtained were used and the AP has the guts to put it out there. I didn’t know AP had any writers with that kind of BALLS.
Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but *straw man* purchases are already against the law. Are they not?
What is a straw purchase of a firearm?
An illegal firearm purchase (straw purchase) is a federal crime. An illegal firearm purchase can bring a felony conviction sentence of ten years in jail and a fine of up to $250,000.
Maybe Obama’s advisers are feeding him bad information, maybe Obama is as delusional as many of us believe but the fact remains. You can’t buy a gun online and have said gun shipped directly to you unless you are one of those FFL folks. If you’re just Joe Citizen, yes, you CAN order a gun online BUT that gun has got to be shipped to an FFL dealer and that dealer in turn is responsible for doing the required FBI background checks on you.
Criminals don’t BUY guns, murderers and robbers, rapists and drug dealers, don’t BUY guns, burglars STEAL guns from lawful owners and then re-sell the gun, or guns, to a criminal gun dealer for distribution among the bad guys in this nation.
LEGAL gun owners buy their guns LEGALLY, sadly far too many fail to secure those guns properly in their homes or they leave them in their car and there you go, car burglary nets another gun that will be entering the pipeline as it finds its way into the hands of a BAD person.
Now consider this; more guns are lost by and stolen from Law Enforcement of all tilts than you would ever imagine.
Justice Department officials are investigating the disappearance of 449 firearms and 184 laptop computers — at least one containing classified information — from the FBI.
More than 500 weapons have been “lost or stolen” from six local police departments, the California Highway Patrol and the Drug Enforcement Agency in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2010, a probe has found.
And lest we forget, the most irresponsible *gun walking* scandal to date, one carried out by the Obama Regime; Operation Fast and Furious.
Maybe Obama needs to sweep his own doorstep before he tries to sweep mine and yours. Just a thought…
The United States already has far more than enough gun laws on the books, we don’t need new laws or executive orders, laws and orders that are nothing more than a desperate attempt by the buffoon in the Oval Office to leave behind a legacy.
Somehow, I believe history will indeed define the Obama legacy as an utter and complete failure and a social experiment conducted by the Liberals, Commies and Socialists in an attempt to destroy America.
One other thing; the GOP is just as guilty; they have allowed it to happen.
And, we are back to one of MY favorite mantras: Let’s enforce the existing laws, and see how that goes first, eh?
EXPANDED BACKROUND CHECKS. What the hell does that mean? Are they going all the way back to shenannigans I perpetrated in grammar school? Will they find out that Sister Teres broke a yardstick on my knuckles for being “a disturbing element” in the classroom? Geez, I sure hope not. The video of LaPierre makes all the sense Obama doesn’t. I , and all the people I speak to are asking the same question. Why doesn’t law enforcement go after criminals? It baffles the shit outa me but the commies want our guns and that’s the bottom line.

You make a damn good point. In order to obtain my GOD GIVEN RIGHT as afforded to my by the 2d Amendment, I have to show a photo ID, and give all kinds of personal information to the Govt. But, when it comes to choosing the leader of the free world…a person who would control the most powerful military ever created, and the leader of the free world, I don’t need to produce diddly squat. REALLY?!!!!
What can produce more harm? Me with a gun, or obama or someone like him with a phone and a pen?
I think if someone wants to vote, they need to be put through the same damn scrutiny as if buying a gun. I bet if we had done this, obama would not be president as I am damn sure there was a lot of voter fraud during his election. Didn’t obama get like 102% of the vote in a few counties or something like that. Did anyone ever look into that? Nope. Everyone voting for obama gets to do so regardless of who they are or how many times they vote and in how many districts. In fact, didn’t we find several incidences where people voted for obama multiple times? And they gladly admitted it thinking it was darn funny to boot. Requiring voter ID’s and tracking votes would certainly have protected our voting system…whereas obama’s gun control proposals would have DONE NOTHING to stop a single murder.
