Hutchison: Perry’s tactics tough on her campaign
JUSTIN, Texas — Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison offered what appeared to be her first acknowledgment that Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry has done some damage to her bid to unseat him by successfully casting her as a Washington insider.

Trailing in the polls with less than a week before the March 2 primary, Hutchison assessed the state of her campaign and Perry’s anti-Washington tactics to The Associated Press on Tuesday.

“It definitely has made it more difficult for me. I didn’t think that people would buy that because I’ve been so effective for Texas,” Hutchison told the AP on her campaign bus. “I didn’t think that anyone could turn my success in producing results for Texas into a negative, but I think that he has attempted to do that and that is what I’ve been having to fight against.”

In the interview, Hutchison talked up her own record of bringing federal dollars to Texas and said she’s working hard to turn out grass-roots supporters to boost her into an April 13 runoff with Perry.

Hutchison: Perry’s tactics tough on her campaign

Is Kay Bailey Hutchison crying *calf rope*? Some folks here in Texas seem to think so!

For those not familiar with Texas Speak, crying calf rope means the same thing to Texans that cry uncle does everywhere else. It’s a sign of surrender from your opponent, of having given up.

KBH sounds a bit down to me in this article, she sounds like she knows she’s been had. She sounds like she has gone defensive, and defensive does not win elections or battles, in many cases, one in the same!

KBH goes on to say this:

“I have protected Texas,” she said. “I’ve voted with Texas values. … I’m not Washington – I’m Texas.”

Once upon a time there was a lady named Kay Bailey Hutchison that was considered to be The Queen of Texas. She was the belle of the ball, the toast of the state and Texans all over were in love with her. Today, not so much.

I am of the belief that the KBH of today really is a Washington insider. I am going to present MY case and you, the reader, can make up your mind and form your own opinion.

The first piece of evidence I am going to post is this: Kay Bailey Hutchison admits to mistake supporting bank bailout. KBH DID vote for the 1st bailout, the BUSH Bailout, and she has been soundly taken to task over it by Conservatives here in Texas. So, what does she do? Political spin SHE blames HER vote on Rick Perry. :?

Then there was this little gem: Hutchison irks right by including gay judge as U.S. attorney pick. Kay, can you really say that was a Conservative move? A homosexual judge? For crying out loud, that’s a play right out of the DNC playbook! A move to BIG TENT politics.

And who can forget this one? Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison is CAGW’s October Porker of the Month. I know KBH may want us to forget it, but it’s just NOT going to happen. I made a vow to blast Kay *Bailout* Hutchison at every opportunity, this is one OF those opportunities! And then we have this little fact to consider, Hutchison was the 2nd place finisher as CAGW’s Porker of the Year, finishing behind Barney Frank. SOURCE

KBH gets accused of being too Washington, and it’s often said that she just doesn’t get “Texas values.?? Well, how about this? Hutchison ‘pleased’ to have Cheney endorsement. KBH IS a Washington insider, by every definition of the word. She knows that even if she was’t going to be coming home to run for the Texas Governorship, she is going to face some serious threats in 2010 because of her less than stellar performances of late.

“But how can you say Miss Kay has been ‘less than stellar’ TexasFred?? you ask, “This article says she is serving her third term casting reliably conservative votes as a U.S. senator.?

Well, if the above isn’t enough to convince you that KBH isn’t all that she’s cracked up to be, hang on to your Stetson, I have more for you!

KBH bailed out on the vote to defund ACORN. Sen. Kay *Bailout* Hutchison bails out on defunding ACORN. In all fairness to KBH, her vote wasn’t needed for this to pass, it carried by a huge majority, but it would have been nice for her to take a HARD stand against ACORN and it’s #1 supporter, Barack Hussein Obama!

Check it out. This link goes back to the Bush Bailout, and KBH was all over it. Congress OKs historic bailout bill

KBH is weak on Border Security too. I don’t care what her current ad says about how SHE, as in her personally, quadrupled Border Patrol forces here in Texas. Hutchison on defensive over border fence. Maybe Miss Kay needs to be reminded, “A nation without borders is not a nation.? ~Ronald Reagan~

And finally, there is this little snippet of truth, KBH is a supporter of AMNESTY for ILLEGALS. I say that without stuttering in ANY way. Hutchison was a HUGE supporter of the Immigrant Dream Act, and thank God, it bit the dust. Immigrant ‘Dream’ Act Fails Key Senate Vote.

The MSM still calls KBH a Conservative. I have NO idea why because there is NO WAY that a REAL Conservative would vote for, or support, any of the above posted citation. Kay *Bailout* Hutchison is, at best, a RINO, Republican In Name Only.

Kay Bailey Hutchison, is retiring from the Senate to come home and run for Texas Governor. Many of us here in Texas are planning on making sure that Hutchison enjoys a nice, quiet retirement, OUT of public office, of ANY kind.

There is a great candidate vying Hutchison’s Senate seat, Michael Williams, and hopefully, when John Cornyn comes up for re-election again in 2014, we can replace his RINO self with a REAL Conservative!

TexasFred is a solid supporter of Gov. Rick Perry in his bid for re-election. I make NO apologies to anyone for that support. In MY opinion, Rick Perry, while not perfect, is still the best choice for us here in Texas and still represents Texas in true Conservative fashion.

I have had much to say about Perry’s other opponent, Debra Medina, Debra Medina and Ron Paul: The 9-11 Truther Connection and this, Debra Medina is a 9-11 Truther.

Medina seemed to start off well, but she didn’t have much staying power, not once the TRUTH came out.

TRUTH, no pun intended.. Really..

You would think that, particularly in a border state, particularly in consideration of those poor owners who have property adjacent the border or property close to the border — you’d think she’d have some damned sympathy for THOSE constituents; THOSE persons who PAY their TAXES in HER represented state.

I’d shuck her ass if for no other reason than that.

Have you ever thought, Fred (and I wish I had the time and money to do it!), about going and doing an actual eyeball-to-eyeball report on conditions of property owners right on the border?

If I had the time I’d like to locate land-owners on the border and interview them and write a series of articles — complete with photographic evidence — of what their lives have become because of illegal invaders. How their fences have been torn down, their property abused, trash, human waste, the danger of being shot or killed on your own land, and lack of help from the federal government.

She’s clearly displayed, just with that one area, that she really couldn’t care less about the people she allegedly represents.

My wife and I voted last week for…….Perry. KBH isn’t even a RINO anymore, she’s a progressive. Your list above is proof.

BZ, I lived very close to the border for 9 years, I lived in El Paso, and we were in a major land trail where ILLEGALS crossed. The SOBs stole anything that wasn’t nailed down.

That was 18 or so years ago, and it’s done nothing but get worse.

Once upon a time there was a lady named Kay Bailey Hutchison that was considered to be The Queen of Texas. She was the belle of the ball, the toast of the state and Texans all over were in love with her………

and then…….. she goes to DC and within 6 months develops an attitude just like all the rest…..F**K YOU, I’ll do what I see fit to do, to remain in good standing with “THE PARTY”. Never mind the people that put her there, just STFU, send money, and keep electing me forever. Congresscritters like this give the other 98% a bad name. I’m not a dog in this hunt but I think Fred is doing just fine leading the pack. sic’em Fred. LOL

I’ve pretty much gave up on California politically speaking, we had hope at one point but it turned out to be false. We did produce Reagan and it’s been that long since this place had a chance. A lot of the problem isn’t the California natives either, a lot of it is the transplants from places like NY and the NE states….The natives here are for the most part too damn stupid to understand the damage they are doing.

Texans have given a lot to this nation…but yall also gave us GWB…so don’t get all high and mighty on me bub…LMAO.

George W. Bush was as much a Texan as Barack Hussein Obama is an American, Bush was born July 6, 1946, New Haven, Conn.

One thing about Bush though, at least HE is an American, not just a resident…

Bush, and his Daddy, were damned Yankees, G.D. Yankees actually, they came to Texas with a U-Haul, and stayed… :|

Kay Bailey Hutchinson is NOT retiring!

She now says she WILL return to Washington as Senator, so she can vote on the Obama health plan.

Debra Medina has made herself finally clear on not being a beliver in the Govt involvement in the 9-11 terrorist attack,,,BUT too much time has passed by since her downfall original statement.

So Rick Perry may have a run-off with Kay Bailey.

PS to Bloviating Zeppelin,,, if you do go to the border, let me know and I will hold your camera,,,,or do something,,,,

Mr Chuck, I heard that same thing said yesterday at a TEA Party meeting, that she’s NOT going to retire, but if we, as Texans, have a lick of sense, we will retire the old bat and vote in a REAL Conservative, Michael Williams…

Regarding Medina and clarification on 9-11 Truther BS, she said a lot of words, none of em meant a hill of beans, she rambled, she spun, she flip-flopped and she lost any credibility she may have gained prior…

Isn’t it a scream! When one is encountered with their own voting record and failure to represent their constituency, all of the sudden their opponent is using “Anti-goobermint Tactics”??? Did anyone think it humorous but me??? This is the one area where “rabid Progressive minded RINOs” give themselves away! They take their flaws and “repackage” accountability and make it “a blame and I’m the victim” game!!!!

I’ve not kept a close watch on this race, but have seem some recent polls and there appears to be a chance for Perry to win a majority in the upcoming vote. As for KBH, anyone one who supported Bush’s immigration plan would never, and I mean never get my vote were I allowed to vote in Texas. This is a big, no compromise issue with me. I’m not one for compromise, but will occasionally bend on some things, but on this I draw the line.

I particularly don’t like people who vote one way and then later in the mist of a campaign do a mea culpa in hopes of fooling a sometime gullible electorate. Perry does seem to be the best choice.
