Voter Registration Fraud Uncovered

Evidence of apparent voter registration irregularities are found in Harris County. Samples of incomplete, inaccurate, or false voter registrations were unveiled by Harris County Voter Registrar Leo Vasquez.

The questionable voter registration applications, collected by a group operating under the name of Houston Votes, included voters that were already registered, applications submitted by the same voters, and applications with incomplete or erroneous information. Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector Leo Vasquez says representatives of Houston Votes assured him that the problems would be corrected, but were not.

“This amounts to over 5-thousand deficient voter registration applications which have inundated our office. Based on this performance pattern, we will be terminating a number of individuals from this volunteer deputy program.”

He says the pattern of the erroneous voter applications is serious.

“We have evidence indicating violations of the Texas election code, falsified documents being submitted to this governmental office, and possible violations of federal election laws.”

Vasquez says he is referring the irregularities along with associated documentation for investigation and possible prosecution to the Texas Secretary of State and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

“It is my sincere hope that this episode will bring more attention to the general public about the importance of voter registration. Hopefully, this will also spur legislation on both the federal and state levels, to put more teeth into election fraud penalties.”

It appears that Houston, we have a problem, may be more than just a catch phrase once again.

I told a fellow blogger the other day, “We get a few things wrong here in Texas, but we get a lot more RIGHT.” Well, I wasn’t taking Houston, and Harris County corruption into account when I made that statement.

I know, there’s going to be some that say, “Fred, ALL areas have corruption.” and you’d be right in that assumption I believe. I’m originally from Louisiana. Louisiana Politics runs Chicago a close 2nd on ways to flaunt corruption, but I think Harris County may have some folks that are just as creative and just as crooked as Chicago and Louisiana combined..

Here’s why I say that.

Fire destroys all Harris County voting machines

Harris County Clerk Beverly Kaufman Friday morning said she is confident of timely, clean elections in November, even after a fire that destroyed the county’s entire inventory of 10,000 electronic voting machines.

Kaufman urged voters to cast their ballots early to help the county cope with a possible shortage of equipment on election day.

“Because I don’t expect to have 10,000 pieces to work with, no matter what we do, I’m sure that we’re going to be putting on a full court press urging people to vote early,” Kaufman said.

Kaufman said she expected that the fire in a county warehouse in the 600 block of Canino, in north Houston, has destroyed $30 million worth of equipment and caused $10 million more in damage to the building.

Kaufman hopes to cobble together a collection of voting machines through loans from other counties and replacement equipment from its vendor, she said. All five members of Commissioners Court contacted her Friday morning to pledge their support in helping her with the resources needed to stage a successful election in which early voting begins in just 52 days, she said.

Cause undetermined in voting machine fire

Normally, I’m not one that goes for conspiracy theories, but c’mon. This is pure coincidence?

Here’s even more citation to the story.

A few days ago we blogged how the Houston voter registrar had a press conference announcing widespread voter fraud and thousands of illegal and phony voter registrations submitted by an ACORN-like organization called “Houston Votes. Those stories are HERE and HERE.

Harris County Tax Assessor Collector [and voter registrar] Leo Vasquez accused the group of submitting thousands of bogus voter registration applications in recent months in what he said appears to be a campaign to taint the voter rolls.
Well this morning Mr. Vasquez’s warehouse containing all of the voting machines, supplies and equipment burned to the ground.

A note of caution: obviously law enforcement officials in Harris County will get to the bottom of this. We are posting this because, for now, Harris County is going to have a mess of an election in November because all of their equipment and supplies have been destroyed. SOURCE

I just hope the Harris County Fire Marshal is an honest guy. I hope he has his life insurance paid up too. Some folks will go to ANY extreme to influence an election it seems.

And if these clowns are anything like ACORN, care must be taken.

I can only think that the voting machines coming in from other locations and loaned out will be PRE-LOADED with votes for the liberal candidate. I agree…how convenient.

What would you of expected from a “sanctuary city” and a liberal Democratic mayor Bill White, who is now running for Texas Governor.

White has ripped off millions from whatever and whenever he could.

Houston has turned into a filthy, corrupt, illegal mexican loving city… that has lost it’s TEXAS soul.

I was down there a few weeks ago, and the area looks and acts like South Dallas.

Fred, I don’t think we’ve seen ANYTHING YET. These crooked bastards have had months to prepare for the mid term elections and I don’t have any idea how the honest people are going to police them when the time comes.

Maybe the honest people will have to be just as crooked as the “assholes” only a little more so. Maybe we’ll just have to have ONE big shoot out and the survivor take all. Wish I was 30 years younger…

Wouldn’t that negate the whole purpose in US being honest?

I honestly believe that our system has become so corrupt that it will take a revolution to unfk it.

Houston, Philly, LA, NY, Chicago, Pick a city you will find corruption.

We need to fix it by education. Not by dabbling in it ourselves. We need to get lawyers and Judges to see the truth. We need to fight corruption with information. We need to fight corruption in courts or in the streets.

    1. You work within the system first and foremost;
    2. You counter words with words; you counter actions with actions;
    3. John Kennedy said: “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”

And that is the order in which it should occur.

Our system is so bogged down with layer upon layer of beaurcracy that it is almost impossible to do anything and certainly hampers the ability to do anything quickly. Our country has gotten so big, that the individual cause is almost lost. You used to be able to influence your congressman with a letter…not anymore. They don’t care about your single vote anymore. Also, they don’t even seem to care about the vote of an organization with a thousand members. You must command a voting block in the multiple thousands of people in order to get your leader’s attention. So, unless you front a very large organization, or have the influence of thousands and thousands, you just have no clout with your politicians.

Finally, I have found that most politicians, like lawyers, very seldom do what is right. It is no longer about right and wrong, but what they can do legally or get away with. Just like a defense attorney, its not what is morally right, but how can they bend the law to get the result they want.

Just a thought…I may be wrong.
